Come to think of it Craig era has also showed us M's, Moneypenny's and Q's living arrangements. I'm imagining Ken Adam doing a spin in his grave while muttering that in Bond's universe, we don't care how the other half lives. By the way, I rewatched THE FINAL PROGRAMME recently, and man is it a design fest. Kludge fest too, so many ideas in so little screentime. Jerry Cornelius has a home that features an entry hall with a pair of Adam's holes in the ceiling, and there is an arcade that must have inspired TOMMY. In fact, I think THE FINAL PROGRAMME might have inspired a lot of other films in various ways. Harlan Ellison talked about how the first TREK movie's ending was a total rip from this, but I noticed THE FINAL PROGRAMME also has a slightly more involved riff on the 'the answer? I don't even know the question' bit in ST-TMP. Given so much of the film is focused on us in our end times, might be high time to remake this film, perhaps at a longer runtime to get into all the aspects that are only hinted at in the original film. More of a companion piece to the original than a remake, perhaps. Then again, as I understand, all of Moorcock's Cornelius stories are pretty much the same bits in each tale, kind of like the MATRIX/nuBSG 'this has all happened before and it will all happen again' business. |

| I have just remembered that OHMSS of course shows us Quarterdeck, but I think that's the only previous occasion as regards M.
And we just assume that all the bad guys live in hollowed-out volcanoes, underwater or on their own island lol. |

| The Craig era certainly answered a lot of questions nobody was asking.
One wonders how Desmond's Major Boothroyd got around before Grindr. That sushi isn't going to eat itself... so to speak. |
