| This is an article I can get behind but naturally in things like these Lazenby and Dalton start in last owing to how many films they were in. -- - Quote :
- James Bond research finds booziest Bond and which 007 incarnation drank the most martinis
JAMES BOND research has discovered which 007 actor played the booziest Bond and which of them drank the most martinis out of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
From Ian Fleming’s original novels into the James Bond film franchise, 007 has always been very fond of his tipple. In fact, new data researched from all 24 released official Bond movies (Dr No to Spectre) has found that the MI6 spy has racked up a drinks bill of £5,401 on the British taxpayer. On average that’s £107 per hour he’s on-screen.
But, to be fair, Bond deserves his vodka martinis shaken not stirred with all the stress he’s under to save the world.
According to Ocean Finance’s research, Sir Roger Moore’s 007 is by far the booziest Bond with a total bar tab of £2,427.
To be fair, this shouldn’t be too surprising considering the late actor starred in seven official Bond movies, the most of any of the six incarnations.
Here’s the full ranking of the booziest Bonds based on their total bar tabs across their films, followed by their average round.

Here’s the full ranking of the booziest Bonds based on their total bar tabs across their films, followed by their average round.
1. Roger Moore: £2,427 (£347)
2. Sean Connery: £1,271 (£212)
3. Daniel Craig: £798 (£200)
4. Pierce Brosnan: £773 (£193)
5. Timothy Dalton: £76 (£38)
6. George Lazenby: £56 (£56)
Sir Roger’s total bar tab was helped by his extravagant round in Live and Let Die when he spent an impressive £730.
Aside from the odd spirit, this 007 bought two bottles of expensive champagne during his debut 1973 mission.
In comparison, Dalton’s Bond was the most frugal, spending just £39 on alcoholic beverages in 1989’s Licence to Kill.
Next up, here’s the full ranking of booziest Bond’s most alcohol-fulled missions.
1. Roger Moore – Live and Let Die £730
2. Sean Connery – Thunderball £590
3. Daniel Craig – Casino Royale £332
4. Pierce Brosnan – The World Is Not Enough £297
5. George Lazenby – On Her Majesty’s Secret Service £56
6. Timothy Dalton – Licence to Kill £39
As for who’s slurped down the most martinis, that crown goes to Craig’s 007 who’s had 11 despite only starring in four Bond movies to date.
He’s followed by Connery (6), Moore (4), Brosnan (3), Dalton (3) and Lazenby (1).
But with Craig on a total bar tab of £798 across his films, the question is whether he can top Connery’s £1,271 with his final outing later this year. from the Express. |

| Good research. I take it they didn't include NSNA as I seem to remember Connery guzzling a fair few martinis in that. |

| NSNA probably would have pushed Connery up.
Dalton had all that cash in LTK and a paltry thirty-nine quid. |

| I'm assuming Craig's martini count is up because of the 6 in QOS... but since they happen off screen, shouldn't we assume Brosnan's GE martini counts too? |

| James Bond, the man who puts the fun into 'functioning alcoholic' . Seems an appropriate thread to mention that a bottle of this is on its way from my sister as a present for my 50th next week ... https://www.blackwellrum.com/007 |

| Very nice BI. Can think of nothing better than to have a nip of that and pop in DN. Or LALD as a way of tribute to Mr. Kotto.
Good find, BI's sister! Hadn't read about such a rum existing. |

| Admittedly I was the one who heard about it. She had said to let her know about anything I'd like, so ...
Chris Blackwell's life makes for very interesting reading -

What I was thinking about was having some while watching Skyfall, as that was Bond's '50th'. |

| Best anecdote was Terence Young's eternal regret he didn't financially back Blackwell and his buddy when they came to ask for help starting Island records. In Young's words they were stoned out of their minds and his wife said I'll kill you if you have anything financially to do with these boys. Young: And Island records just sold for how much? |

https://www.blackwellrum.com/007 Rum has never been my favourite spirit, but a bottle of that might change my thinking! |

| Naval rum can be lethal. Friend at uni brought a bottle back from Portsmouth. Swear it stripped paint. |

| Got a bottle of Bond-branded Bollinger as well as the rum. A friend sent me a box of 24 craft beers, another a bottle of red wine and a family friend dropped off 10 bottles of assorted ales. At this rate, I'll not live to see 51 . |

| 39 pounds in LTK? Doesn't his 'bar bill' include a case of Bollinger RD ordered from room service? Just because we didn't see him bathe in it doesn't mean it shouldn't count.
730 pounds for two bottles of Bolly in 1973? I'm not sure what this reporter is counting. Didn't Felix order the Sazeracs? And Bond was gone before they arrived. Must've been that glass or orange juice he had for breakfast in San Monique. |
