I've had this article opened in a tab for some time to post here when I could (and remembered). Quite the life she's lived. I'm not one for documentaries but I'm quite eager to see Tina.

How perfect her voice was for the world of James Bond. Shame she never returned for another. Could have been modern Bond's Shirley Bassey.

I agree. Would've been great to get her back for, say, DAD to mark the 40th anniversary with something suitably Bassey-esque; instead we got a full-bodied dry heave set to music (h/t Seinfeld).

I have a soft spot for Madonna's theme. It tries for something different and yet still feels rather Bondian.

I wonder if she was ever asked to return to the series. Does anyone know?

You know 2002 was nearly a generation ago when AVTAK was described as "recent" and Duran Duran "youthful."

Even in 2002, the then 17-year old AVTAK being called 'recent' seems like a stretch.

As I was born in 1985, it didn't feel recent when I watched DAD in 2002 that was for sure.
