Damn right. Ralph Richardson is on fire, and it's got my second favourite Malcolm Arnold score (next to WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND). |

Just realized that this piece of shit is equipped with a Paul Schrader interview.
I wonder what he had to say. And how much did they pay him to watch it? |

still missing the love scenes and romance subplot between Deckard and Rachael and the scenes which suggests - Spoiler:
Deckard himself is a Replicant
not seen in the Theatrical Cut, the 70MM Work Print (aka International Cut), the Director's Cut, the Final Cut |

| What about in the deleted material?
I'd say BLADE RUNNER is too high profile for Criterion. Warner makes plenty of money selling it themselves. |

| Yeah, Criterion hasn't done many high profile films for awhile, probably since THE ROCK in 2001. Kind of interesting to know there was a GHOSTBUSTERS Criterion back in the Laserdisc days, then again that was the Laserdisc era. |

| I would love Criterion to do NIGHTHAWKS, the underrated 1981 thriller starring Sylvester Stallone and Rutger Hauer in his Hollywood debut. Universal actually own the rights to it, but it would be nice if someone was able to find deleted scenes that were allegedly destroyed in a fire at the studio's quarters. There were many character-driven scenes involving Stallone and Lindsay Wagner as well as ones involving Hauer and Persis Khambatta. I think maybe an explanation was given as to why the terrorist Wulfgar was the way he had turned out. From what I have heard, the original longer version was also more bloodier and violent, especially the climactic showdown. This would be ideal Criterion material as Nighthawks wasn't that big a hit when it was first released. |

| I'd like if Criterion released ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ and/or CHARLEY VARRICK.
A Siegel box set would be well worth it.
Hopper's OUT OF THE BLUE would be a good choice, too. |

A "Frankenheimer in the 60's" set would be awesome. At least I wanna see SECONDS get the treatment. |

I watched it zoomed in and the framing is better that way. |

| A Don Siegel box set would be nice. He was the master of the gritty crime thriller back in the 1960s. Films like his version of The Killers pushed the envelope in terms of screen violence. He and Clint Eastwood were a formidable team.
Criterion should release SITTING TARGET (1972), the MGM-owned action thriller made in England which starred Oliver Reed and Edward Woodward (both RIP). Another movie that wouldn't go amiss would be WOMAN OF STRAW (1964) starring Gina Lollobrigida and Sean Connery in a rare post-Bond villainous role. |
