What are images from films that have always stayed in your mind?
For starters, the dissolve of water going down the drain and the ECU of Marion's eye in PSYCHO: https://youtu.be/0WtDmbr9xyY?t=2m6s

When 'Redrum' was revealed as 'Murder' in the mirror in the original 'The Shining.' (Not the ABC movie which was a crock of shit).
I was still a kid when I first saw it in the early 90s on videotape and didn't figure it out til I saw the mirror image.
Come to think of it, those two little girls who kept 'appearing' in the hotel corridor were scary too.

The water in Stalker.
Judy reemerging as Madeleine in Vertigo.
The saturated Technicolor of Suspiria.
St Pauls Whispering Gallery in Hands of the Ripper.
The appalling dinosaurs in Tree of Life.
The slaughterhouse in Prime Cut.
Right now the lingering image is breakfast.

For some reason, I find the most memorable (but not always the most pleasant) images are in black and white. Maybe it's the use of shadow and/or deep focus?
