| With HP dumping the TouchPad at silly prices after just a few weeks on the market, anyone know where I can get one? Dixons have already sold out of the 32Gb model at just £115.

| Apparently Dixons are flogging it.
Edit: sorry, I didn't read post properly. Back to the optometrists.

| Looks like Tesco are late on the game. I bet they'll slash the price in the next few days.
Stupid move by Hewlett Packard. They've just shot themselves in the foot. |

| Yeah, well, I'd prefer an iPad, but sub-£100 is a steal. If I can get one. When I actually tried to buy one at PC World I got - Quote :
- Sorry! This item is not in stock at any of our stores near you.
Bollocks. |

| Comet stocks have gone live apparently, but the site keeps crashing. And now they're sold out. Tesco say they may price match and site will be updated at 11:00 am tomorrow. Though I suspect I am the only one interested.

| Yeah, just spoke to Tesco and their marketing guys are meeting to decide whether to price match. Site will refresh at 11:00 am tomorrow.
A 32Gb web browser with flash for £115 is worth having, even if the apps are non-existent. |

| You might want to call them up and bitch about it. That's bullshit, if it was already ordered and ready to ship.
Unless that's SOP. I'm not familiar with rules of e-businesses.

| Forums are full of stories about store staff keeping them for resale on eBay.
A guy dumped a load of 32gb models on eBay.co.uk last night on BIN of £209 and sold them all in an hour. Now that's what I call a quick buck.

| If I were you I'd go for an iPad regardless. They're on the expensive side, but as the saying goes, buy cheap... |

| The Touch Pad 32Gb is better specified than the iPad 2, which one of my colleagues has. The HP is hopeless for apps, but all I want to do with a tablet is browse the internet and this is 32Gb WiFi with flash so offers a better browsing experience. And I say that as someone who depends on an iPhone and whose home office is full of Apple gear. Here's the Graunaid's review:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/jun/30/hp-touchpad-tablet-review
Would I want one of these at £500? No, but at a £115 it is a bargain. At least if I don't factor in the time I've spent tracking one down. |

| Ok, if the apps don't concern you the HP seems the better deal. If you still can get one. Might be worth to shell out the extra £ on an eBay one, most of the production is bound to turn up there anyway as it looks now. |
