| It's from India newspapers so be careful. ScreenRant has been good to me in the past so here it is... - Quote :
- One thing we do know today: there will be trains involved. Check out the report from The Times of India regarding the particular sequence that could be potentially shot in India, as told by Pravesh Sahni of Take One Productions:
“This could be one of the biggest Hollywood movies shot in our country. Trains are the backbone of the film. We’ll pay for the shooting and also mention Indian Railways in the credit line. The shooting was supposed to happen in October-November. Now, we’ve postponed it to January-February. For the past three months, we’ve been trying to get things in order. The film has Daniel Craig doing stunts on a freight train. While the Indian Railways has given us permission to shoot, I need to meet someone and explain how important it is for us to block two tracks for eight hours a day over five to six days. For the past 15 days, I’ve been trying to get someone to hear me out. South African authorities are waiting to provide everything that is required to support this movie. If we can’t get this cooperation from India, the film will no longer be shot here.” The Bond on the Train goes up and down |

| If the stuntwork is a quarter as good as Connery hanging out and off the steam loco in THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY, it'll be worth waiting for. |

- Off-Track Bond 23 May Exit India For South Africa
Unhappy that permission to shut down portions of two railways outside Mumbai still has not been granted, Take One Productions is threatening to move production of Bond 23 from India to South Africa. Originally scheduled to shoot in the fall, the Sam Mendes-directed project starring Daniel Craig is now pointing for a January start. “South African authorities are waiting to provide everything that is required to support this movie,” said Take One’s Pravesh Sahni. “If we can’t get this cooperation from India, the film will no longer be shot here.” The railroad scenes will be a major part of the film, Sahni told The Times of India. http://www.deadline.com/2011/08/international-briefs/#more-162974 |

I had been looking forward to Bond returning to India, but at the same time, South Africa has been mentioned as a possible location for a Bond film for quite a while now, dating back to at least CASINO ROYALE (and I wouldn't be surprised if it had been mentioned before, but CR was the first time I followed the production of a Bond film), so I'd definitely be interested in seeing that as a location as well. I'm also glad to see that trains are making a return to the series. Given that one of the best films in the franchise, FRWL, has a good portion of the film taking place on a train, I'd definitely be up for seeing something like that again in the franchise. |

| CR had a significant train sequence as well, and I enjoyed it a great deal. |

| Fast Five started with an exciting train sequence...I'm hoping for some Bond originality here that surpasses it.

| Things I don't want to see...
Train derailed.
Train running into stuff.
Men hopping all over the top of the train.
Train on top of another train followed by a loop de loop. |

What do you want to see? |

| I guess for once I'd love to see something more interior. I think it's pretty clear that that won't be the case since they need exterior shots it seems. But I guess I was hoping for something that involved getting from point A to point B using some good undercover spy-craft if that makes sense. I guess Mission: Impossible and Goldeneye leaves a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to train sequences.
Also, I should have emphasized the 'men' in 'men hopping all over the top of the train' part. I have no problem with Bond stepping out on-top but I feel like the mano-a-mano on the top of the train is a little too much of a train-cliche for me to handle. Give me suspense from the scenario of being on a train, not the chase on it. |

| Well, production has apparently moved from Mumbai to Ahmedabad in India for the location is apparently appropriate for a car chase too. Monday will apparently be the day when everything for the train sequence is finalised, including road blocks and rearranging schedules for the freight train.

The first picture of the train station reminds me somewhat of Dr.No and the local Jamaican flavour. |

Why yes, yes I am. That's exactly what I'm looking forward to as well. While the action sequences that the filmmakers can have happen in or on a train can be exciting, I think that it would be even better to go the FRWL route and have some good tension filled moments inside the train where Bond and the villain must match wits in a confined environment from which there is no escape. |

| This film is shaping up to be a great one, I can feel it. I have images in my head of what it will look like, very atmospheric, colorful, sexy and one heck of a ride. |

I think Eon et al know they need to score big here...I have a inner gut feeling about B23 that I didn't have with QoS... Best foot forward... 8) |

| Heard there are some hiccups over safety issues with the Indian Transport Minister...hope he doesn't veto it or India loses out and production gets delayed. |
