| My collection's becoming a bit more of a curse than a blessing right now, TBH. It's all been boxed up for ages now, and is a heavy pain in the backside to cart around every time I move house. Since I've been on my own the last few months, I've an empty back bedroom which I've been tempted to turn into some kind of "museum", but a) my house has got "burgle me" written all over it (I need to get the place far more secure before I leave valuable stuff lying around to be nicked or trashed) and b) I've probably even more old Star Wars collectables than I have Bond ones, so wouldn't be able to make up my mind which of the two to go with, plus c) I'm really tempted to make the room into a retro room with my old 70s TV, Atari 2600, top-loading VCR, turntable etc, but I'm fighting that as nostalgia just makes me feel even older than I feel already.
Anyway, my Bond collection would probably go something like:
Bond soundtrack vinyl LP's DN-LTK Bond vinyl singles, mostly 7" but a few 12"s, practically a single from each film except 2 for a few which had 2 singles released (TLD, OHMSS etc) All Fleming novels original hardback in varying states of decay, most of the Fleming's in Pan paperbacks as well Bond first releases on big box VHS DN-DAD Bond MGM 1st widescreen editions on VHS (the original artwork ones from 92/93) Happy Anniversary 007 VHS from mid-late 80s OHMSS 1995 VHS Boxset GE VHS Boxset TND VHS Boxset Various posters & magazines going back to the 80s Bond small Corgi/Johnny Lightning cars, about 10-15 of them (including the great original FYEO Citroen) FYEO James Bond watch (the old black digital one which plays the theme) Bond original film brochures FYEO-TND LTK toy vehicle set Bond vintage computer games (LALD, TSWLM, AVTAK, TLD, LTK) Big James Bond ZX Spectrum TLD computer box from the 80s Various Bond making of books (LALD, LTK, TWINE, DAD, CR) Original MR annual & original FYEO annual James Bond film guide books (The Legacy, 87, 89, 99 Bond movie guide/essential Bond) James Bond movie poster books (87, 89, 2000s) James Bond vintage 3D viewmaster with LALD & MR reels James Bond Ultimate Dossier CD Rom from mid 90s James Bond Philips CD-i movies - these were kind of a forerunner to DVD (DN, FRWL, GF, TB, MR, OP, AVTAK)
I'm sure there's more which I can't think of off the top of my head, but that lot's more than enough and it's getting harder & harder to keep lumping around.
I love an awful lot of that stuff though. |

I'm the same way, and mine are somewhat all together in my room (the parts I actually have out, anyway. Most of the Star Wars is in boxes) My collection: DVDs - All but TWINE VHS - All but QoS and CR BluRay - FYEO, DN, FRWL, OP CD - The Best of Bond (the most recent release....can't be bothered to check at the moment), DAD Vinyl - The Living Daylights single, YOLT Soundtrack, TSWLM Soundtrack, FYEO Soundtrack Video Games - Everything or Nothing for the PS2 Cars - The Living Daylights Johnny Lightning Aston Martin, CR Corgi Aston Martin Clothes - Japanese Moonraker poster t-shirt Books - All but TSWLM, Dr. No (which I read by borrowing) and Octopussy and The Living Daylights Misc/Other - Honey Ryder Barbie Kinda dinky, I know. I'd really like to own all of the Bond soundtracks on vinyl one day, though.

| Amongst other items, I have to say I received 2 first edition James Bond novels for my birthday: The Man With The Golden Gun and Octopussy + The Living Daylights. Both obviously second hand, but I love the charm of it actually being old. They're in a fine condition considering. |

| CC'd from my introduction:
"I am not a great collector of memorabilia, apart from the books (several sets of editions), the soundracks (vinyl and CD,) posters and of course the films (VHS and UE DVD). I also have the set of 1:18 scale cars, but the crown jewel of my modest collection is my Golden Gun replica, which I'd lusted after for 35 years."
To be more specific,my collection consists of:
Reprints of the original Richard Chopping hardcovers (c. 1985) + J.Cape 1st editions of John Gardner's first six and H&S for the rest (couldn't stand the uniform Putnam editions);
Complete sets of 3 PAN paperback editions (the "texture' covers (skeletal hand in the sand with gold coins for LALD - you get the picture): "Junk "covers (a pile of props from each story - eg: three silenced pistols & three white canes plus other bits & pieces from Dr. No (TSWLM was the hardest to track down - I didn't even know it had been included until I found one this year) and the film tie-in editions (self-explanatory).
One of my greatest regrets was not ordering HC copies of Christopher Wood's JB,TSWLM and JBAMR when I had the chance - that and not borrowing and 'losing' the copies that my local library had in stock in the late 90s.
I have also collected a number of books about the Bond phenomenon, from 'For Bond Lovers Only' and '007 - a Report' by O.F. Snelling through Benson's 'Bedside Companion' and Rubin's Encyclopedia to 'The Bond Legacy' and Maryam D'Abo's 'Bond Girls are Forever'. I have the big D.K book, can't be bothered with the five little books, as they add nothing new.
I decided to give in and start replacing my vinyl collection (Dr. No- LTK - incl. CR '67) just when the expanded CDs started coming out (Underwater Mayhem, The Whyte House & Underground Lair at last!)
I now live in the city from whence I used to order my posters and have become such a regular customer that I was once interviewed by the local paper for a spread on movie poster collecting!
Unable to order the Golden Gun in 1995, I eventually consoled myself with the 11" die-cast car models (substituting a red '69 Cougar for Pola Ivanova's rented Corvette). Of these, the 'Wet Nellie' Lotus Esprit is my favorite.
Here I make a shameless plug for Factory Entertainment, which has just announced a limited second run of Golden Gun replicas. As far as I can tell from the pictures I've seen of the '95 model, the one I now own and cherish is better, and now that I have it my collecting days are over (apart from what books, posters, soundtracks and DVDs come next). |

| Well, I gave away all my 007 movie poster collection to a CBn forum member a few weeks ago. Total value was probably about $2,500 to $3,000 dollars. They were all custom framed by a local art gallery and included U.S., Australian, and European versions of several different movies. I gave away 23 posters in all, including German versions of NSNA, Australian versions of TLD, the Eiffel Tower teaser poster for AVTAK, etc...The prints were framed with color-appropriate frames. So, the purple hues of the AVTAK Eiffel Tower teaser poster were enhanced by a purple frame. The red in the Octopussy poster was encased in glass and a red frame. I needed the space and I wanted them to go to a fan who is trying to build his own collection.
What I still have left?
Hundreds of 007-related magazines...BONDAGE, BONDAGE QUARTERLY, 007 Magazine, Starlog, Cinemascape, fan club publications from the German and French organizations....
Games: Roleplaying: All the Victory games in mint condition; the supplemental books like Thrilling Cities or Villains or Q Manual (I could never, ever get rid of those; they are priceless, treasured childhood memories....or be$t offer...whichever comes first).
At some point I've had all the James Bond games: 007Driving, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Everything or Nothing, Goldeneye: Rogue Agent
All the movies, obviously.
Most of the books. Still missing Coldfall, and Benson's last four books.
Hundreds of trading cards and card games.
Several of the Johnny Lightning cars.
Some of the soundtracks on cd.
And much, much more.

| And Sir Rog would make a fine butler ... the UNICEF work can't take up ALL his time, surely. |

| I've got a few Sideshow figures (Laz, Dalton, Brosnan, and Pussy) and a model of the Aston Martin from DAD.
I'd love to get rid of that crap somehow. |

- My collection's becoming a bit more of a curse than a blessing right now, TBH.
Bond soundtrack vinyl LP's DN-LTK Bond vinyl singles, mostly 7" but a few 12"s, practically a single from each film except 2 for a few which had 2 singles released (TLD, OHMSS etc)
I'm sure there's more which I can't think of off the top of my head, but that lot's more than enough and it's getting harder & harder to keep lumping around.
I love an awful lot of that stuff though. Sounds a bit like me. I have all of my Star Wars collection still boxed up and crammed over into a corner of my new space. Thankfully my 007 armory can mostly sit on shelves. I'm jealous of all your vinyl. 007 LPs are rather hard to come by, and when you do come across one it will usually be destroyed by previous owners...or have giant red marker hearts drawn all over Connery's face. | A friend bought me a print of this for Christmas, which is on its way to me in the mail: Measures about 9x13, and signed by artist Michael Gillette. Pretty neat edition to my collection. My first original Bond art print. |
