I am watching Episode 1 that aired last night.

Part 2 and 3 airs tonight!

By 1830, the average American male over 15 was drinking the equivalent of 88 bottles of whiskey a year - 3 times what an average American male of legal drinking age in the 21st century drinks!

Adams, Jefferson, Washington, Jackson, Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, the Mayflower Puritans... they were ALL alcoholic!

What a Country the USA is!

It was founded by Alcoholics!!

Alcohol was a relatively safe alternative to water in the days before the big utilities.
