Empire's new Bond cover

Very cool. I may have to snag this down at the corner Barnes & Noble.

DC's hair is mighty short in that pic. And is it my imagination, or is that hairline receding a mite?

Yeah, I'm not sure what the hell they're doing with his hair.

Me neither. His overly short hair accentuates his ears, and makes him look rather ridiculous. Having the other Bonds below for comparison doesn't help matters either. . .

Yes. DC cuts a comparatively sorry figger in that picture. Then again, I've never considered him a particularly handsome fella, but the girls seem to think otherwise and I spose that's what matters.

EMPIRE has a bad track record with Daniel Craig covers. Remember that awful one from CASINO ROYALE?

His hair may be too short, but at least this time it looks like he's run a comb through it rather than spiking it up like a 14 year old.

That's actually a good point.

I think his hair looked good in the early publicity photos of him in a tux, holding a pistol, back in '06. Since then, they've really fucked it up.

He looks like a jug-eared monkey in an awful Tom Ford suit.

I do hope Craig doesn't do five more films after this.

The alternate cover works better. This one is a joke. Terrible layout, too.

Tom Ford's clothing is shit, in general. This outfit could be thrown on Sean Connery in his heyday and it'd still look like hell.

I think another issue is that Tom Ford's clothing is not designed or marketed to men.










Whoever made the change to Tom Ford was an idiot who doesn't understand a thing about the main character of these films. That's a grave error.

It probably doesn't help that the models all look like the kind of people who wear "ironic" glasses, but don't understand the meaning of the word "ironic" and so end up throwing it around far too often and out of context.

The suit is not the problem in the Empire cover.

Instead of inspiring complaints about DC's appearance compared to the images of the previous actors at the bottom of the cover, the editors at EMPIRE should have used different pictures of the other fellas.

DC is 44, making his third appearance as 007. All those other pictures are from each actor's first or second appearance. Not a fair comparison. Use one of Sean from either DAF or NSNA, Rog from AVTAK, Pierce from DAD, and suddenly DC doesn't look so bad.

His hair may be short, but at least it's his own.
