| That he is. Both of them. I quite like how Cleese has continually lauded Brosnan's Bond and era and dismissed the Craig era. Nice to see him wish Brosnan a happy birthday. Lazenby did too, actually, along with this photo: https://twitter.com/lazenbyofficial/status/1261976939339886592?s=20 |

| Is it really surprising Cleese would be salty over EON letting him go after such a short stint? Had he been retained, I'm sure he'd be singing a very different tune. |

| It's not surprising... if that's the basis of his claims. A comedian is lambasting the current era's lack of humour, bizarre and/or joie de vivre... it's earnest and rings true. |

| Think that pic's from a 40th anniversary event, if memory serves (quite possibly the BAFTA celebration). Not sure if Connery's absence was down to crabbiness or something else. |

| I think Connery's absence was indeed down to his crabbiness. It's a shame because there had never been an instance where all Bond actors were photographed together. Never will be now either. This is perhaps the closest we'll ever get. |

I think in todays age we can photoshop Connery's head onto Parky's in that photo above. |

| Given his height it might make more sense to photoshop Craig onto his body. |

| Love the style of these. Tempted to use one as my avatar. Perhaps after the GE celebrations I'll have to make the hard decision and pick one. |

| They do look pretty sharp, bit of a sixties feel to them. |

| I dig those. Better than some of the actual posters.
You should revisit MI6! It's been awhile since I've seen you there. |

| Which of the Brosnan era posters don't you like, MP? I think they're great. I trust you also recruit for BAB at MI6, too? |

You should revisit MI6! It's been awhile since I've seen you there. I briefly did but didn't hang around long. I can't imagine I'm popular in parts, years ago there was some stuff written about us so I figured I'd stay persona non grata ha |

TND/TWINE/DAD. Something very generic and photoshoppy about them that doesn't make me want to frame them on a wall, whereas the posters for GE have pretty much everything I'd want out of a Bond posters. And to be fair, I pretty much have the same problem with the Craig era posters aside from the teaser with the gun on the card table, and perhaps the octopus shaped bullet hole with the cracks looking like tentacles. - Hilly wrote:

I can't imagine I'm popular in parts, years ago there was some stuff written about us so I figured I'd stay persona non grata ha Though there was certainly a bitter feud between the two boards when the olde KTBEU was nuked, that was a decade ago at this point. I simply don't feel the same way I did way back then anymore. I don't want to hold onto a grudge, I just want to discuss Bond. Plus, I really dig the James Bond & Friends podcast that MI6 has been conducting, which included very prominent guests like Bill Koenig (our Napoleon Solo) and Calvin Dyson. I actually used to post over at DCINB years back because I always enjoyed discussions with opposing views. Haven't visited it since SF I think. Can't imagine how unhappy they are with Craig still being Bond after all this time. |

Having said that, I'll make myself unpopular here anyway by putting DAD first. It has all the elements that I like in a Bond film (being a child of the seventies and liking the OTT elements of DAF, LALD, TMWTGG & TSWLM). After that comes TND, then GE and TWINE last.
I agree with that ranking. I think of DAF, TMWTGG and DAD as the fun Bonds. They entertain me all the way. |

You think not? We'll see. Has anyone come back to this over the years? |

You think not? We'll see. Has anyone come back to this over the years? I cringe at the Broz hate I spewed out in this thread a decade ago. And yes, I'll take his Bond over Craig's now. |
