Justice League (20??)

I've said it before, but I can't imagine Batman and Superman coexisting. It makes no sense. Let alone right across the bay or whatever.

Exactly. It's a leap of faith you can make in comics because... well... because they're comics. But in live-action, you'd have to either seriously power down Superman or embrace the more fantastic elements of Batman. Probably both so you could hit something in the middle for both of them.

I say they get Grant Morrison to write this and make the most whacked-out, strange superhero film of all time. Batman can call in his army of Batmen at some point, including these guys:

I'm not too familiar with Justice League, but couldn't you set the film somewhere else?

You mean have the Justice League without Batman, Superman, or any of the other characters in it?

I suppose, but then you're hoping your movie is going to make a ton of money based on the name "Justice League" alone, which isn't a name a lot of mainstreamers are familiar with, and that no one is going to be annoyed or disappointed that there is no Superman or Batman or Wonder Woman or etc. etc.

Well, for anyone who wants a big, shiny Justice League film, they might get their wish, I suppose.

This is turning out to be a real circus and perhaps further proof WB just isn't ready for this project. Regardless, my thoughts on a Zack Snyder Justice League depend a lot on how Man of Steel turns out.

I wish they wouldn't even bother. They're just gonna fuck up five other movies trying to the reach the pointless JL goal, and then they're probably gonna fuck that up too.

I was tentatively interested in a possible Justice League movie but if Snyder is directing, I'm opting out.

Snyder makes titflicks without tits. They're lost on me.

I get the feeling that if MAN OF STEEL is a hit, it will be because Christopher Nolan was preaching common sense in Snyder's ear almost daily.

Based on his previous work, Snyder strikes me as the kid who wants to blow all of his allowance in one hit at the candy store. And Nolan is the parent telling him that candy might be nice now, but he should save his pocket money for something he really wants, even if it takes him a bit of time.

In other words, Snyder thinks audience want to see everything blow up all at once. And Nolan is the guy who knows that audiences are smarter than this and that if Snyder wants to blow everything up, then he needs to take the time to explain why or else he'll lose his audience.
