| Moderator adjustments:
The White Tuxedo, Mr Brown, Fieldsman - Overall board moderation. Other section-specific moderators are named in relevant sections on forum main page.
Can any of the people who have expressed interest in Moderating yet haven't specified a particular section please send me a PM or post here? Louis Armstrong? Vesper? Anyone else? I can then arrange positions. Also, if I've forgotten or overlooked anybody who has expressed an interest, my sincere apologies, again please contact me. Thanks.
Ranks:
All three full moderators bear the rank of Moderator under their username.
Section-specific Moderators are listed as such in their sections on the forum, but unfortunately I'm not able to adjust the ranks underneath their usernames to things such as "Part-Moderator", "Section Chief" etc, simply because the system won't permit me to.
All other members are ranked as "Valued Contributor", as this is undoubtedly what everybody here is.
The star system underneath the usernames indicates post contribution, basically the more posts you make the more stars will appear under your username. This star system increases at the points of 200 posts, then 500, 1000 and 2000.
If anybody has any further/better ideas or suggestions on any of this, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks
M

| Just noticed I'm a Mod in latest News and Bond 23 and Beyond! I'm honoured, many thanks.
...and Valued Contributor...?
May I ask what my duties are for the Mod position please? |

To the moderators with more clue, am I able to sticky threads in my territory? If so, how do I do it? Just curious. Yes you can do this.
Go to the opening post in the thread you want to sticky.
Go into edit on that opening post.
Scroll down the edit area until you're underneath the "preview" and "send" boxes.
There should be a black bar labelled "options".
Click on the "X" at the end of that "options" bar to open up those options.
Along the bottom of those options it reads "post topic as".
Click in the circle labelled "sticky".
Then scroll back up and click on "send" in the post editing area.
Hope this helps. Any problems, just send me a PM.
M
To make polls, IIRC you scroll down when entering your original post and there's an option which reads "Add a poll", click on that, then enter the poll title and list the answer options. |

| To make moderation simpler:
1. Go to the very bottom of your forum. 2. Look in the "Permissions of this forum" box. 3. Hit "Moderate this forum". 4. Then on the next page, select the topic you want to moderate (eg. delete, sticky, move, edit, etc.)
Hope this helps. |

| Hey, just noticed that Sharky and Python (animal-themed screennames are in this year) are global mods. Good choices. Congrats guys. :) |

| Thanks.
A minor issue but annoying when it occurs: Once in awhile when I want to hit a quote button I unwittingly hit the edit button thus mess up someone's post. Happens once in awhile and I know this has happened to others, local or global. Perhaps it would be best to have those buttons with different colors? |

| No problem, the edit button should now display blue. |

| I still don't know how to 'sticky' a thread.
Or perhaps my account isn't permitted? |

So we have a better check and balance here and not so much disparity? |

| I think we have enough mods now. We already just assigned new ones not too long ago. |

I get it. If you don't want me because I am not part of the "Famiglia", just tell me. ;) |

| The main perk is VIP Baker Street access. But I don't know if Sir Ambler's going to permit that for much longer.
The man needs to make his money, after all. |

So we have a better check and balance here and not so much disparity? Unfortunately j7, we don't really require any further moderators just now. But, as a compromise, you can have your own special rank title. You've more than earned it. |
