| Any chance of sticking "Bryan Mills" under my username? Or "Peter Hunt"? Or "Cubby Broccoli"? Or, call a spade a spade and go with "SkyFall Protester". ;)
Can't see my rank escalating anytime soon, so it shouldn't be any real biggie, I assume? |

So we have a better check and balance here and not so much disparity? If there's one thing that's going to get you bounced, it's claiming that the moderators are incompetent. Which is strange, because that's not the way I envisioned j7 going out. |

| There were other reasons involved, like his remark about Mexicans in some other thread. |

| Hmmm. Well, I kind of envisioned him going out in a blaze of racism, pornography and homophobia. |

| It was odd how anticlimactic his reaction was. We gave him an opportunity to post his farewell but instead he just continued posting like it was just another day. Whatever, he's gone. |

| j7's moderator request had nothing to do with his departure. That request was one I just took upon face value, in that I simply said no first of all on the basis of us having enough moderators, secondly because by and large he doesn't have the respect of the members here and thirdly because he's prone to making comments which many perceive as being racist or otherwise offensive. That's not moderator criteria on any forum, well maybe an anti-Islam forum or something but definitely not here. The moderator request was a simple case of a question being asked, to which I replied compassionately that we simply had enough moderators.
j7's departure was in the hands of the moderators themselves, whom I trusted to handle the matter, and they did so in a very fair fashion. Hell, j7 had more chances here than the Italians had against England last night, he really was given that much leeway which he continued to abuse. That's why he's gone, end of story.
