| Always nice to have a proper homicidal nutter of a Dalek. Although I guess we'd better not dwell too much on how the casing of one bodged together from scrapyard bits had flight and missile-firing capabilities, lol.
Could take or leave Ryan's family issues, and not crazy about UNIT seemingly being sacrificed for the sake of a Brexit reference. Apart from those things, it was fun. |

| They've started to film Season 12 down in South Africa. Is it too much to ask for some Weeping Angels or Cybermen in South Africa? This better not be some politico-Apartheid shit |

| The exteriors for 'The Ghost Monument' from the last series were shot in South Africa, so not necessarily a political story being filmed there now. |

| Wow. BBC announced Russell T Davies coming back as showrunner. Guess that tells you what the BBC thought of the Chibnall era….
I like RTD but not my favorite showrunner. . Very inconsistent in tone and quality but this is welcome after Chibnall. Really had to force myself to tune in and slog through the last few series. Shame Jodie didn’t get more of a chance. |

| Yes, RTD's re-hiring (and the announcement of same before Chibnall's last series and specials as showrunner have even aired) is very telling indeed.
Some of the writers from RTD's initial stint (and Murray Gold) returning wouldn't hurt, either.

| So anyone expecting lesbian undertones with Yaz and the Doc?
It was clear Yaz was getting emotional during the New Year's Special with the Daleks (I finally watched it last week). |

| Chibnall said a few years ago on Twitter 'For those wondering if the show is about to turn into 'Lesbians In Space', it isn't ... but if that's your thing, the internet has you covered'.

| Just as long as the Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels keep coming, I don't care if Yaz and the Doc start humping to the Tardis sounds.

| Seems Eccleston has ruled himself out of the 2023 60th anniversary, due to RTD's return as showrunner.
Guy's a good actor, but he hasn't so much got a chip on his shoulder as an entire fish supper ... seems to 'have issues' on nearly every project he does. |
