| Seem to remember that in TWINE there are goofs with the weaponry during the caviar factory sequence ... one second somebody's wielding a handgun and the next it's a machine gun, that sort of thing.
Also, either Q-Branch rushed out another Beamer to Bond in double-quick time or that car had regeneration properties to rival Doctor Who's because there it is back in one piece at the end. |

| Yep the P99 switches to a small mp5k or something and back to the P99 probably because a shot was cut where Bond picks up a dropped sub-machine gun. |

| THUNDERBALL.... In the end fight, Largo's captain's hat is knocked off. But when you see him attacking Bond a second time his hat is still on and gets knocked off again |

| The most noticeable continuity glitch for me - now that I have Blu Ray and 43" of HD - is the fact that there are two Disco Volantes presented in TB: the disguised hydrofoil that appeared in all the closeups and the finale, and the yacht with the stern that the cocoon was modeled after. Its extra bow portholes are most evident when the Disco comes into port while Bond and Domino are bantering over conch chowder, and later when Bond and Felix are scouting the harbour. It appears in a few other long shots as well. |

| That makes sense. I've often wondered if the mockup came unstuck during shooting because it was literally held together by boats-and the long shots show a much more sturdy looking boat coming to shore. It's likely that the deleted scene of the DV tour would have given a closer look. |

| Ever looked closely at Scaramanga's nipples?,That's something i never expected to hear myself saying -When Scaramanga is first seen getting out of the water, he has his third nipple, which is close in color to his real nipples. But after the assassin shows up, we see Scaramanga taking sun. Now his nipple is much lighter than before. In fact, it's almost the same color as his body, making it look almost invisible. |

| On Her Majesty's Secret Service: The view seen through Bond's telescopic lens at Tracy (Dianna Rigg) on the beach is the same magnification of the area around the lens. Thus, the lens isn't doing anything. |

| They probably only had the budget for a hollow tin can to wave in front of the camera.

| The Living Daylights -Bond in the jeep falls off the cliff & pulls his parachute to escape death. He's seen pretty close to the water. Then suddenly, we see him above a boat hundreds of feet up. -The jeep explodes & falls, yet none of the debris hits the boat or the water. -In fact, we see a woman on the boat complaining how boring it is. She didn't see or hear the exploding jeep above her head? |

| On the one hand, I can see how her not hearing/seeing an exploding jeep seems improbable ... on the other, it is very hard to distract a woman on the phone in gossip mode. |

| Good pickup on the girl not hearing the explosion, silvertoes. Certainly one of those 'can't believe I never noticed that' moments! And very true, BI. |

| On her majestys secret service....Serious oversights
When Bond is in his office he picks up some souvenirs from previous missions from his desk. However, Dr. No took Honey's knife and Bond never took Grant's watch. |

| Simply there to connect Lazenby's Bond with the previous films. To say: we're the same fella indeed! |

Well of course, but that doesn't make it right |

| By the same token, what's Klebb's shoe and Kara's cello doing in Q/R's archive in DAD? It's all there for nostalgia's sake, and I like it. |

| Bond flew the Acrostar all the way back to MI6? The used crocodile sub got shipped back to the lab? Etc |

Well of course, but that doesn't make it right Maybe Honey had another belt and knife, and she gave it to Bond as a parting gift. Maybe Station T recovered Grant's watch and had it sent to Bond as a memento. AMC's right. It's there for nostalgia and it works fine. |

| Yeah, like in the Odd Bobs thread this seems like nitpicking again. |

How can it be nitpicking? it's a glaring oversight which fucks with the continuity.look the thread and likewise the oddbobs thread were simply posted to highlight the things you may have missed, just for fun and to spark conversation |

| It's not an oversight. It's a conscious decision to include those objects in the scene because they'd be recognisable to fans. Hence Barry also accompanying the moment with film-specific cues.
I understand what you mean. It would have made more sense if Bond pulled out the ring Bond gave Tanya as part as her cover. Or maybe Bond has the Geiger counter stored in his office... but they're not part of the respective film's iconography to sell the moment that Bond is giving up the career, and what that means to him and the audience. |
