I love the caption of the second picture in that article: "Bernice Marlohe has her boob groped in the raunchy scene". Who wrote that article? An 11-year old boy? Sounds very immature. It should be referred to as "knocker".

Something I just noticed about the lead Bond girls of the Craig era: they're older with each film. To my surprise, Berenice is 32 - I thought she was like 24-25! Naomie's no starlet either at 35. I know some wish for a Bond lady in her 40s (not counting Judi Dench), and at this pace we could have one by Craig's fourth film.

Hadn't seen this picture of Berenice before:





So I started looking more closely at other Google pictures of her, and what I've come across so far had me thinking at least two things:

#1 Her look is very chameleon-like. It's hard to pin down exactly what her ethnicity is and...

#2 In some of the pictures (like the one above) she looks Asian, or at least Eurasian.

Since we know almost nothing about the plot or the role of Severin, I'm wondering if anyone else thinks she may be playing an Asian or Eurasian character, given the fact that the movie takes place extensively in China?

Possible mix-raced. After all, Severin is a French name.

She could easily pass for a Turk, considering part of the film will take place in Turkey. I think there was a rumour a few weeks ago that the villain's girlfriend was going to be Asiatic and glamorous.

Definitely has a Eurasian look to her. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she's 3/4 French 1/4 Oriental.

She sounds hot.

There is nothing wrong with casting European actresses as the Bond girls. It's one of the better Bond traditions imho. The problem with Camille wasn't Kurylenko's casting. The reality is that you don't have to be Meryl Streep to play a Bond girl. Just slightly better than Denise Richards. ;)

Ursula Andress - like many of the best Bond girls of the Connery era - was more of an engaging screen presence than a great actress.
Naturally such a casting choice can no longer be defended publicly in these ultra-PC times.

Euros have generally made for far better Bond girls than Yanks.

Marlohe is an exotic beauty in the fine tradtion of lets say not only Kurylenko, but also Claudine Auger comes to mind.

Both girls look dangerously thin, and both have no tits whatsoever.

I'm ashamed, EON. Although, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. These are "Bond ladies", as they keep telling us. Not "Bond girls".
