Noel Gallagher to write new James Bond theme tune

Former Oasis member Noel Gallagher has hit out at The Sun newspaper for making up quotes from bogus sources whilst shooting down the rumour that he might be penning the title theme to the new James Bond film "SkyFall".

The red-top rag printed the claims about Gallagher a couple of days ago, but as usual, stretched a tip too far and printed bogus quotes from a made up 'source'.

On his blog, Gallagher wrote:

"Now, I don't know whether you've seen a story that's doing the rounds about me being offered the job of penning the tune for the new James Bond film? Apparently I'm being courted by "007 bosses"!!!!! A meeting will be "taking place in the next few days"!!!! With some guy called "Michael G. Wilson" (whoever he is)!!! A "source" says, "nothing has been signed or made official"!!!! Of course it F***IN' hasn't!!!!!! Who IS this F***IN' "source"? Has he been on the "sauce"? Bizarre indeed.

You currently find me in San Francisco.... It's the last night of this particular leg of this particular American tour. Flying home tomorrow."

Yes, he is, actually - they're both insufferable twats. I imagine that if anyone made a biopic of their lives, Hugh Grant would play Gallagher and Bieber in each of them

I like his work a lot, but it'd be wrong for him to perform a Bond song or perhaps even write one. The way I see it, it'd be a step backwards. The last two films we had some interesting choices. I don't want to go back to those silly bed-time Brosnan's era songs. I want something more alternative for Bond.
