| We've been getting some MI6 vets, myself included, who aren't as keen on the new MI6 Twitter board and are unsure of what direction to take. This seems like a good place to assemble.
We should do a headcount of who we've got so far. |

| I don't think Strongarm would count. He last visited this site a year ago,
The people that should be listed IMO are those who have checked in post-MI6 metldown. That way we'll know for sure who's really here. |

| Wow, what an amazingly superior forum this is compared to the new MI6/Twitter laughingstock. Hell, it's better than the original MI6.
Glad to be aboard the lifeboat! I'm PMing as many MI6ers as possible to migrate on over! |

| I know it has been asked 458 times, but why is it that,
a. The mods decided on the drastic change,
and b. Why they didn't tell us about it?
Or maybe I'm just having a really slow day. |

Or maybe I'm just having a really slow day. For s***s and giggles. Or maybe just to look like they're doing something. As for the secrecy, who knows. They've probably watched too many James Bond movies. |

| Lets not get too harsh - I'm betting that some of the mods weren't having an overly active role in the decision making ... some would've but with others I'm thinking maybe not - of course I don't know. it ultimately comes down to, JP, though and his poor decision-making skills. |

Pretty much. The way he dismissed criticism with "Oh well, no one's forcing you to post here" was deplorable. We've been coming to the forum for years and the best he can do is "F*** off, have a nice day". Arrogant, arrogant t***. He's so well and truly out of touch. He doesn't seem to grasp that there was a good-natured and fun community on KTBEU. All he cared about was making it look prettier and Facebookier. Alright, I've had my fill for the day. Going to bed to have some angry dreams followed by an 80's style montage of me posting on MI6 with Hearts On Fire playing in the background. |

| This is basically what James Page and his little wizards did:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQwY9xH6SLo
Not going back to that... thing.
The strange thing is, I was planning to leave my post count at 999 and take a sabbatical, for a while. Which I'm probably going to do anyway. But it's good to see that people aren't just bending over and taking that rather stupid, arbitrary change as "Hey, an improvement...s!" |

| I can but say little more to what has been said, but as soon as I saw the change I knew that I wouldn't be able to hang around much. The fact everything's gone, no matter how trivial it might seem to others (like the blasted Trek thread), the fact things were fine -yes an update was needed but not a complete redress etc.
As some can see, I've been registered here for a while and I'll now make this my regular Bond home. Hello to you all and, er, well Godspeed. :)
EDIT_ I was asked to spread the word but I fear everyone I would have PM'd is here...Or on the way...I'll get in touch with the Bongster and let him know. |

| Moore here.
I have mixed feelings about the MI6 forum. From what James Page said, it sounded as if a problem occurred that forced them to change course suddenly. What that is I don't know.
It seemed like the were forced to make a change at the last minute. I understand they were busy. But somewhere in the middle of typing up long FAQs about the new site and setting up the community surely someone could have explained the situation.
Or, at least, have a new post on the new site explaining it.
I understand their problem. I don't mind the new MI6. It is something different. I am open to it. However, I can't see it being as enjoyable as the old one.
The two things that upset me the most were:
1: The lack of information. The transition was poorly done no matter what the situation 2: The lack of response: Instead of getting a decent answer, I had to get a nasty, pithy one-liner from the headman before I had to continue pushing for more information. As a result, I got an inbox message from an old member telling me how he was disappointed with me, how he enjoyed my old post, but clearly I was nasty and rude and should leave.
