Many assets at the Reading Post have gone on to greater things – reporters have moved on to the nationals, had their own radio show, oh and one former advertising rep now owns a football team and is in the Sunday Times Rich List,
But who knew there were stars waiting quietly in the room next door?
Our humble filing cabinets, sitting in an office near the newsroom, unloved and gathering dust, are set to have a role in the next James Bond blockbuster.
They were star-spotted on an office equipment sales website after Tessa Towers no longer had a need for them.
And now 12 are due to appear alongside 007 Daniel Craig.

Removal men working for Pinewood Studios picked up the celebrities-to-be and one said they were destined for a set recreating a Government building-type scene and were going to be blown up.
He said some chairs and tables he’d picked up from Braintree earlier in the week would be facing a similar fate – but what better way to end your office furniture life than with a bang?
Make sure you look out for Reading’s biggest stars (after Kate Winslet, obviously) when the movie, Skyfall, comes out next year.

| Sounds about par for the course. Hopefully those responsible will come back with a lot more C4 this time and visit the same attempt on the old M, and with proper success. I want her in pieces by the time the title song comes on.
