As far as I can tell, the ads are still visible, but disappear once you've logged in.

I can only assume Forumotion have changed their policy on the ads. All I did was re-enter the "no" to the ads, yet this time it seems to have worked and the ads have gone.

As for other suggestions, trust me I'm looking into them and whenever the system allows it they'll be done.

Plus, Louis Armstrong has the right idea here. There are usually ways around several things simply via your own personal settings.

I think we need the quote button to work with the quick reply feature.

Also if you can, make it possible to highlight a piece of text, and then use the URL button to turn into a link. Rather like what Cb.n's currently got. It's a bit clunky having to type in the name of the link yourself.

Could you just cut and paste the link and put [ URL] [/ URL] on either side of it? I only ask because I actually don't know whether that would work. [ QUOTE] [/ QUOTE] works though, but writing it out each time can get rather tedious, especially as you'd then have to put the '=insertposterofchoicehere' every time.

I think it does work. It's just that it doesn't change colour to the rest of the font like it did at KTBEU.

As we (as far as I know) have no lunatic harrassers or stalkers here, it seems odd that I should be asking "Where are you? Why do you hide?" to anyone here...... Still, it's an option to use at the users discretion, I guess.

The "Live For Films" forum has more registered members than us.... maybe we can put a bit of business each other's way. With a view to doing so, I've registered there and I'm just awaiting the confirmation e-mail. More than 100 registered members at that place, including a good handful of Bond fans and some knowledgable fans of film in general.

I have to say I'm not sure if I like the blue. But at least it's not a radical change... if you know what I mean.

Hate to be a wet blanket, but I'm not seeing it. From what I've read, it seems to revolve around franchise and blockbuster blather, and not much else. Rather like this forum now.

I'd keep shopping around.

We are (or were) Bond fans after all - its not as if we're the height of cinematic snobbery.

Sure, but the beyond is in the forum's name for good reason. It was meant to transgress 007 for those who'd lost interest in the franchise (i.e. Harms and Ambler), providing a hangout for broader discussion.

Right now, I think we've swung too far in one direction.

I have faith we can still fix it, but it'll take a lot of work.
