But it also takes interesting posters to keep other posters coming back. I know that reading posts by you and Avarice convinced me to start posting sooner rather than later after the banishment at CBn. So, you keep up the good work to!!! |

And Gravity's Silhouette nails exactly what I was saying about it being the members who have brought this about. Great members obviously make a great forum, and great members such as yourselves continue to make my job here much easier than it could have been. Like I said, brilliant work everyone. Long may it last. |

| Just had a quick look at the latest Forumotion stats for our category (movies). We're 2nd in overall messages, 2nd in total amassed forum points and 5th in total topic amounts.
Brilliant work, Ladies and Gents, let's keep it going.

| Always nice to see some of the old hate over having a Trek thread. Never got the resentment for it, but oh well. |

| That fucker went over 600 pages, it was a monster. Still, I didn't understand the resentment as well, and the demands for having it locked. |

| Hopefully we will be first by the time 'Skyfall' is released and soon be competing with the big boys (Absolutely James Bond, Commander Bond, and MI6 Community). |

I think we already are competing with the 'big boys'. And it's obvious that the average IQ of a B&B member is incredibly higher than any member from one of those sites. That's what truly counts. They're more like playgrounds for the 'special needs' crowd, with a few good members in between. I'd like a domain for B&B to cover up the Forum Motion in our URL. I don't mind being hosted by Forum Motion, though. Hell, they do a whole lot better than IBPFree, who shut down and wiped out every one of its forums without even sending out one courtesy e-mail. |

Agreed. In terms of quality, this site blows all other Bond sites away. What concerns me a bit is quantity of posters. This site depends very heavily on the activity of 20-25 posters. Were five of these posters to abandon ship, the site could grind to a halt. We really do need another 20-25 quality posters to obviate that danger. |

I think some people got pissed because they'd come to the B&B forum, click on new posts, and find the majority of them in a Kirk-Spock-Picard lovefest...which does nothing much for those who aren't fans, or casual fans of Star Trek. Although the simple solution is...just move on to another thread if the Star Trek one bugs you  |

| Is it just me, or has it been really dead around these parts lately? There was the expected heightened discussion regarding Skyfall, but I feel like things dropped off rather more rapidly than I thought it would... |

| I PMed about two dozen inactive members this month, in the hope of getting them to discuss SKYFALL in the wake of its DVD/BD release. Most of them logged in once, and haven't posted. I wonder why....

Yes, and it's pretty sad. The hoped for influx of vital new blood just didn't materialize. There have been maybe three new posters who have made strong contributions, and that's nowhere near enough. |
