Haven't got round to watching it yet, but I thought it might impress the girls.

Dirty Deeds, with Sam Neill et al.

One of my all time favorite Disney films.

Interested to see how it turns out.

The Criterion release of Weir's THE LAST WAVE. A terribly underrated film, and one of Weir's finest.

Luis Buñuel's The Brute, Brian de Palma's Carrie, and The Lookout starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt (I'll give it a break after this one...and potentially Manic).

Been looking for this sometime when I heard that it was Angry Video Game Nerd's (aka James Rolfe) favorite film.

I enjoy it. I don't drink, but I tried getting drunk once. On wine. And I sat down and watched this while drunk. I had a blast.

Just ordered the new Masters of Cinema Antonioni Blu-rays. So excited.

I got the Director's cut of The Good, The Bad & The Ugly for $1.04 on eBay....not bad for almost 3 hours of the best western ever.

I'm still peeved they haven't released a new version of the original English-language cut. I prefer it. I do like the fort scene they put in, and I think the actor who dubs for LVC is pretty good, but I hate the 5.1 track.

The Blu-ray has the Frayling commentary, though. I'm also peeved they didn't include it on the DVD version years back. They got Richard Schickel to do a commentary. He's got a sleep-inducing voice, and doesn't know a tenth of what Frayling knows about Leone. What a bonehead move.

The Sum of All Fears

The vicar's wife of thrillers. Worthy, decent, and as dull as they come.

I saw it when it came out. Thought it was crap, though my annoyance at Affleck probably had a bit to do with it.

And they changed the villains to Nazis.

Oh yeah, then Liev Schreiber showed up and I wished he and Affleck would switch parts. And then he would shoot Affleck.

Got the RoboCop Criterion DVD in the mail, mostly for the aspect ratio.

Watching it right now. Weller is getting shot the fuck up.

It ain't that important.

It does have the original sound, though I'm not sure if the BD does.

Oh yeah, and the Criterion has the commentary.

That's why I love Criterion, they don't remix shit. But yes it has nice features, lucky this out of print was cheap, but I guess non anamorphic isn't exactly desireable.

Bought FRIENDLY PERSUASION a month ago - today they finally realized they didnt have it in stock and gave me a refund. Luckily I then found a cheaper copy. 8)

That was one of the first films I got from Netflix, back in 2004 or so. It's odd to see Perkins in pre-PSYCHO roles. He's got to be to most openly vulnerable American leading man. Moreso than Monty Clift.

In ON THE BEACH he's so neurotic he makes a 2000's romcom look like a sombre drama.

Finally found a copy of 8 1/2. Well two of them. One for me and one for a friend. Hopefully I get a chance to pop it in this weekend.

I'm trying to figure out why Transporter is sold as a trilogy in the UK but not the USA where it actually made more money.

Got to love region-free players...

Just got the new deluxe edition of Tod Browning's LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT on VHS.

Shutter Island on Bluray, for only £11.97. What a deal.
