When do you start filming?
- They started shooting the film in October. I have a small role, three scenes. I'm playing his lover. I start filming on April 22 and it will be for 5 days. It will be in Turkey.

- Could you tell us a bit more about your role? (**SPOILERS**)
- I play James Bond's lover, who somehow helps him to escape when everyone thinks he's dead. It's a small part, two or three scenes, I'm not sure how long it will be.

- How are you feeling?
- It's the happiest day of my life so far! I feel very very lucky and blessed. I'm really grateful it happened. I'm grateful for my friends and family who believe in me and support my efforts. I'll do my best! I'm very proud because it's something that may promote Greece and that makes me happy. As far as I know, no other Greeks have been in a Bond film before.

- How is Daniel Craig?
- He's very nice! He's funny, pleasant, kind, and very down-to-earth. Of course I don't know him well yet...

- Were there a lot of other girls auditioning for your role?
- Yes, there were many candidates. At first I auditioned for the main part in August, but I didn't get it. Bérénice Marlohe got it, a wonderful French actress. Then the casting director told me they liked me and they would inform me if they found a part I could get. So I auditioned on Friday and yesterday they called me, I went to the studio where they're filming, met the director, talked about the scene and he said I got the role

Not to mention that she doesn't show how her being in a 2 or 3 scene role, in Turkey, will somehow promote tourism to Greece. Has she been to Greece lately? The place is imploding.

Best case scenerio is that after the title credits we cut to Craig in bed with her. That would line up with the comments about Craig and Mendes discussing LALD.

Ah the cheeseball 80's. Even "serious" guitarists like Blackmore succumbed to the lure of MTV and the requisite bimbo jiggling in the background. Good clip. I notice that fellow Purple refugee, Roger Glover is playing bass, so this vid must have been just before the Purple re-union in 1984. Wow, Rainbow had sure degenerated into schlock by then. I still laugh when I watch the QoS scene, after the boat-chase, where Craig picks up Olga and dumps her off to the first guy he sees;or CR where Craig runs out on Solange, to get back to work. Compare with Sean and Rog, always having extra time for the girl, before they got back to the work.

Bond isn't what is used to be. I know. Understatment of the new millenium.

It's in-line with what literary Bond would do, actually. I remember numerous times in the novels where Bond's inner-monologue would yearn to bang the girl during a mission, but he always forced himself to continue working, viewing the girl as the his "reward" if he completed the mission alive.

Just off the top of my head, this happened with Vesper in CR, Domino in TB, and Honey in Dr. No.

That's interesting and fine, but the movie-Bond is founded on what Connery and Young created 50 years ago and it was that Bond persona that has driven the movie franchise, all these years, not so much book-Bond.

I love book-Bond but even Fleming was ok with what Young and Connery created, derived from what he created in print.

Classic 60's movie Bond is not quite the same character as Fleming Bond and IMO anyway, the 60's movies are moreso the bedrock for the film franchise than the books.

If nu-Bond is trying to be Fleming Bond, well they got a lot of work to do. Probably better to try and stick with what Young and Connery created, which pulled quite a bit from Fleming anway.
