It was always a bit painful to watch him on the last few New Years specials after he had that stroke.

I liked his countdown shows as a kid....listened to him, Casey Kasem, Scott Shannon,...then added Rick Dees and Shadoe (sp?) Stevens to the mix. There was a UK Top 20 countdown as well but the American shows were more fun to listen to. Dick Clark was the first countdown I ever listened to, waiting for the chart placing for a new Duran Duran song...RIP to the world's oldest teenager...
