| I actually prefer Craig as Bond over Hamm. Hamm would have made a good Leiter though. |

I could see it, though maybe not for Craig. Might be a bit weird seeing someone who looks more like Bond playing Leiter than the guy who's actually playing Bond. (Though didn't some people say Mads Mikkelsen looked more like Bond than Craig?) |

| Hamm is far suitable to play a classic Bond than Craig. Tall and dark. |

I could see it, though maybe not for Craig. Craig has Wright, I'd actually like EON to keep some consistency with their Leiters. Hamm would have been fine though, likely with a different actor as Bond. Hamm's loose moppy hair style that he usually sports in real life reminds me of Leiter. |

| Hamm for Bond, Slattery for Leiter.
I can't see Hamm as Leiter at all. |

| I'm with Tux.
Who says an American can't be Bond?
After all, we have Brits playing Batman, Spider-Man and MOTHERFUCKING Superman now, for Christ's sake!
We deserve some turnabout on this shit. |

| Been watching sfdebris reviews and everytime I watch one BlipTV has to play an ad and it's always that Virgin Airlines shot film DEPARTURE DATE, with Ginsberg as the star. I really hope his run on MAD MEN brings him better opportunities. |

We deserve some turnabout on this shit. Well, that's not quite what I said. I'd maybe be open to the idea, but it's a one-in-a-million shot. |

The main villain in TOMB RAIDER looked a lot more Bondlike than Craig did in that. Almost every male in ROAD TO PERDITION looked more Bondlike than Craig did in that. In CR, I think even the guy dealing the cards looked more Bondlike than Craig. Hamm, all the way. I've even started seeing him in my mind's eye when I read FYEO recently. |

| Three elements: 1) Paying attention to over how many days an episode is set. Is there a weekend? 2) Paying attention to direct calendar references, either days of the week ("I'll have it on your desk come Monday,") or days of the month ("Three Sundays" is an easy episode) 3) Most important of all, cultural references or references to outside events.
For example, in "The New Girl", Bobby mentions having seen "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum", so it has to be after May 8, but she's excited to see Marilyn perform at JFK's birthday, so it's before May 19. The episode ends on a Friday and stretches over four workdays. |

| Dunno why, but I've always liked this moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1JvNlSfiD0#t=2m8s And this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1JvNlSfiD0#t=46s I'd pay that actor money to talk to Paris. |

| Watching "The Fog". The music in Betty's dream sounds suspiciously like a re-arranged version of "Married Life" from the soundtrack to Pixar's UP. Anyone know what's up with that?
Also, I never noticed this until I started paying close attention to the Mad Men chronology, but I share a birthday with Gene Draper -- June 21.
I've noted two appearances by Ida Blankenship prior to her real first appearance in Season 4, both times played by some random old lady background extra with a few lines of nondescript dialogue sprinkled here and there, as well as several mentions.

| --Season 3-- Out of Town - April 2-3, 1963 Love Among the Ruins - April 22-29, 1963 (Kinsey references a newspaper article that was actually published May 5, which threw me off) My Old Kentucky Home - May 3-4, 1963 The Arrangements - June 7-11, 1963 The Fog - June 20-24, 1963 Guy Walks Into an Advertising Agency - June 30-July 2, 1963 Seven Twenty Three - July 19-23, 1963 Souvenir - August 2-7, 1963 Wee Small Hours - September 3-6, 1963 The Color Blue - October 21-25, 1963 The Gypsy and the Hobo - October 28-31, 1963 The Grown-Ups - November 21-25, 1963 Shut the Door, Have a Seat - December 11-16, 1963
I don't know if I can rank the seasons as such. If I had to use a cliché, it would be "it just gets better and better." Season 5 is a cut above the rest, though. |
