Hey!
It's directed by Jee-woon Kim.

I've seen most of his films and they are great!

Cast:
Arnold Schwarzenegger, Genesis Rodriguez, Jaimie Alexander, Peter Stormare, Forest Whitaker, Rodrigo Santoro, Johnny Knoxville, Zach Gilford, Harry Dean Stanton, Luis Guzmán, John Patrick Amedori, Daniel Henney, Eduardo Noriega, Chris Browning, David House, Eddie J. Fernandez, Billy Blair, Tait Fletcher, Mark Sivertsen, Terrence Parks.
The Film
After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction. But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy.
With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow. Cortez' path: straight through Summerton Junction, where the whole of the U.S. law enforcement, including Agent John Bannister (Forest Whitaker) will have their final opportunity to intercept him before the violent fugitive slips across the border forever.
At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately rallies his team and takes the matter into his own hands, setting the stage for a classic showdown.
I think Ahnold needs to make another Terminator film because the last one really really really really sucked!

He needs to make another Conan movie. That Samoan guy's version was shit.

It's strangely nice to have Schwarzenegger back, but whether THE LAST STAND will be any cop I dunno.

After all these years, sometime I still can't understand a single word that's coming out of Ahnold's mouth.
Same for Stallone's speech - his is even more difficult to understand than Ahnold's.
He was on Jay Leno two nights ago and I still have a hard time understanding what he was saying.
Enunciate clearly, Sly, and speak slower in a louder but firm tone of voice please!

Stallone's upcoming BULLET TO THE HEAD looks rather better than expected. Here's the trailer:

The older he gets the more intelligible his speech is. This flick looks embarrassing, he should have retired.

88% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
WOW!
I saw Arnold on Jay Leno last week.
He looks like he aged 20 years.
The job of a State Governor took a lot out of him!

Forget Conan.
We need a proper Terminator film to close out the franchise.
The last one with Christian Bale and a CGI Ahnold was a joke!

The thing that made Ahhnold's acting career so unstoppable back in the day was a combination of his supreme confidence in himself and his knack for knowing his own strengths and limitations as an actor, and staying within them. Seeing The Expendables it seemed to me that Arnold doesn't have the same confidence in front of the camera he did before-- he almost looked uneasy, or like he had something to prove. This was never the case before and it makes me wonder if he can still properly carry a film.

There was also a kind of naivety that made him likeable. He could make fun of himself, had great comedic timing, and never descending into self-pity like Sly has often done throughout his career (a case in point being his breakdown scene in FIRST BLOOD).
Ahnold's changed as a man - politics has made him more cynical and shrewd out of necessity, and with that his acting (which in most cases is just him playing variations on himself) has changed.

Box office BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMB. Came in 8th place over the weekend. Only 6.7 million dollars earned in 3 days. Mega-disaster!

Correct. For the "4 day weekend" (for those who celebrate Martin Luther King Day) it is in 10th place, but for the traditional 3 day weekend it's in 8th place. Either way, it is an absolutely horrid debut for the film. No amount of international sales can salvage this film. Arnold was already pushing the age limit when he did Terminator 3, and that was 10 years ago. He's too old for this.

You know the saying: out of sight, out of mind.
Things will get better for Arnold.
He has Conan and Terminator 5 (written by James Cameron this time) and Triplets in the works plus the highly anticipated Mikael Håfström's The Tomb, starring Arnold and Stallone.

No. None of the above. THE LAST STAND is going to blow a huge hole into his Hollywood comeback plans. Unlike an older actor such as Eastwood, Arnold can't direct.....is very limited in terms of acting....can't write....he was good in certain roles and occasionally playing against type. Now his age is working against him. Nobody wants to see him in those types of roles. Eastwood understood that and got out the Dirty Harry-type roles and diversified his brand into producing and directing. Eastwood's mold won't work for Arnold. Even though both took a break from movie careers to run as centrist-Republicans, Eastwood never fathered a baby with the hired help. Like a Samsonite factory, Arnold simply has too much luggage.

Its opens here at the weekend ... looks like a 'maybe catch it on DVD/on a pay-per-view service' job rather than a cinema trip, methinks.
I mean ... Johnny Knoxville's the best he could do for a co-star in this? Really? :|
