I don't wish to see a reprise of any filmic character. But some of Fleming's unused characters? Yeah. The housekeeper May, General Grubozaboyshchikov, Willy Krebs, Sluggsy Morant and the cabbie Ernie Cureo, just for starters.

Yes Willy Krebs, the sick Nazi bastard. Would be fun to do the scene where Bond brutalizes him, when he finds him searching his room. Such a scene would be right in Craig's wheelhouse, I think.

Throw in the book version of Drax complete with army of shaven-headed German workers and flaming great moustaches.

I'd give anything to see a faithful version of Fleming's Leiter, and fully fleshed out in a virtual partnership with Bond as we saw in several of Fleming's novels. Jimmy Dean, incidentally, would have been a perfect Leiter if his acting chops had been a little better.

A non-mumbling, charismatic Leiter would be quite nice indeed.

Jeffrey Wright's a good actor. His Leiter just needs a shot of caffiene and a boot up the ass. Would pay to see him and Bond team up, without going full-on Murtaugh/Riggs.
