Based on that clip, the film should be called BLOW JOBS, because Kutcher sucks.

Why is this film (which I presume is a biopic of Steve Jobs - I can't actually be bothered to watch the trailer) called jOBS and not JOBS?

Presumably it's a play on the 'small first letter' Apple thing ... iPod, iPhone etc.

Looks like the film's story is bullshit: http://movies.yahoo.com/news/apple-co-founder-steve-wozniak-disputes-ashton-kutchers-050000648.html
Quote :
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is disputing a scene shown in a new clip from the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic that stars Ashton Kutcher.
The excerpt from the film, slated for release in April, shows Kutcher and 1600 Penn actor Josh Gad (as Wozniak) having an argument in a parking garage over whether anyone would actually want to buy a computer. (Woz says no, while Jobs insists: "How does somebody know what they want if they've never even seen it?")
In an email to Gawker Media's geek site Gizmodo, Wozniak wrote (whilst dropping insider-y Silicon Valley pioneer lingo in the process):
Totally wrong. Personalities and where the ideas of computers affecting society did not come from Jobs. They inspired me and were widely spoken at the Homebrew Computer Club. Steve came back from Oregon and came to a club meeting and didn't start talking about this great social impact. His idea was to make a $20 PC board and sell it for $40 to help people at the club build the computer I'd given away. Steve came from selling surplus parts at HalTed he always saw a way to make a quick buck off my designs (this was the 5th time). The lofty talk came much further down the line.
Wozniak added: "I never looked like a professional. We were both kids. Our relationship was so different than what was portrayed. I'm embarrassed but if the movie is fun and entertaining, all the better. Anyone who reads my book iWoz can get a clearer picture." From Open Road Films and Mark Hulme's Five Star Feature Films, jOBS debuts Friday at the Sundance Film Festival. The movie, directed by Joshua Michael Stern and penned by Matthew Whiteley, also stars Dermot Mulroney, Lukas Haas, J.K Simmons and Matthew Modine.
An official biopic on the Apple legend is also being worked on by Aaron Sorkin, who's met with various Jobs intimates including Wozniak.
"I've been able to talk to these people who revere him in spite of the fact that he made all of them cry at one point or another," Sorkin said last fall. "But he made all of them better at what they were doing."
Yeah, I'm gonna wait for the Aaron Sorkin film instead.

I still don't understand why they're stylizing Jobs as "jOBS".

Sundance Snoozer: Steve Jobs Biopic Gets Lukewarm Reviews as Fest Ends
01/26/13 2:48pm Roger Friedman I told you a few weeks ago: when they announce that a movie is closing a film festival, it’s no good. It usually means a big star has been thrown a bone, mostly to try and keep people around through the awards ceremony. That’s just the way it is, and so it is, with Ashton Kutcher in “jOBS.” Not that Ashton is big movie star. He is, in the most traditional sense, a celebrity who was very affable on a likeable TV show (“That ’70s Show”). He also married well, if briefly (Demi Moore, cursing herself now). Ashton is also not bad in his Nikon commercials.
But great actor he is not. And so “jOBS” closes the 2013 Sundance Film Festival to very lukewarm reviews. Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, IndieWire–all give it middling notices, pointing out that it’s a paint-by-numbers effort. And Ashton is cited in Variety as one of its least appealing ingredients.
Nonetheless, “jOBS”–the small j is meant to mimic the small i in iPod–will be released in April by Open Road, and I wish them well.

Looks flaming shocking. Still, our Telegraph gave it 1/5 and that's good enough for me.

I think Kutcher needs to find a new jOB.

Ya know, I like Kutcher when he's playing comedic roles. He was a highlight in THAT 70'S SHOW. When he's trying to do drama, it's sooooooo painful to watch. A male model trying to act.

I suppose there are less interesting foundations for a film, though I am struggling to think on one atm.

Seems like THE SOCIAL NETWORK with more comedy. Might be a so-so rainy day rental, though.

Funny you should say that seeing as Aaron Sorkin is working on a separate biopic on Steve Jobs.
