the producers of the Oscars tonight were Chicago's producers. Sort of figures. If they want the show to end in the 3hr region, that'll do it.

It's as if ABC is trying to tell me to watch old films.

Hathaway's dress makes it look like she has really perky nips.

So are the Oscars really that hard to watch outside the US? Or are people watching online?

not too brilliant here. Seem to recall the BBC used to show it live and owing to US commercial breaks there being really long interviews in between. One fun one with Elliot Gould once.

I can't imagine it being live everywhere. UK time right now is somewhere around 11pm.

I haven't been able to get off...I mean fall asleep, as quickly as I wanted to, so I've seen some of E!'s Red Carpet Arrival. I don't mean to sound insensitive, but is there ANY heterosexual man that is anchoring part of E!'s coverage? I would literally rather be waterboarded than sit through 3 hours of listening to Kelly Osbourne, that lesbian sidekick in a tux she's standing next to (scratch that; it's Ross Matthews) and Juliana Rancid prattle on and on and on about who is wearing what dress, with what purse, and with what shoes. I had to put in THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM into my dvd player and start watching it just to get some of my heterosexuality back.

I'm reading this thing could go on for four hours.

I couldn't stand going through 3 hours of this. Wouldn't they run out of celebrities?

You assume there are celebrities making the bulk of this.

I've only been watching for 10 minutes, but Chenoweth is already making me want to blow my fucking brains out.

Chenoweth is so shrill.

Please never let her host the Oscars.
