I'm not a huge Burwell fan, but I like his end credits music for NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. Some of his music from IN BRUGES wasn't bad, either.

One of my favourite scores. I'd love to write a 21st century equivalent of this.

What with the little extra from work, ordered Tinker Tailor's OST as well as Jaws (Collector's Edition) and Quiller Memorandum. Can't seem to get a fairly cheap but alright copy of Close Encounters. No matter.
EDIT- sucked it up and brought/downloaded the album of Close Encounters Collector's off Amazon. I like having a CD all the same so had to briskly burn it to a disc. Laptop's been fine for two years but touch wood...You never know.
(The Visitors/Bye/End Titles- magnificent)

Who the hell is the guy in the middle? Did he stumble into the wrong room?

I don't place him. Maybe Joel Goldsmith though I wouldn't be so sure.
Still, he looks photoshopped in. A literal room filler.

Awesome photo.
I think the guy in the middle is the great composer Brett Ratner.

Got my Quiller Memorandum OST yesterday. Fine sound to the score. Only 35mins long thereabouts including, somewhat odd of place, a jaunty instrumental of Downtown.

Just got back to uploading Ron Jones stuff. The last track is probably my favorite.

Is this film music? I can't read Ruskie. It was linked to on a Tartovsky vid.
EDIT: I Googled the Russian text and got Eduard Artemyev, who did Tartovsky scores.
Whatever it is, I've been enjoying it.

Seems to have some material: http://soundtrack.ucoz.com
I got AIRPORT 1975. Waiting to download another one. They have CARRIE. I really hope it's the expanded release.

They have the Star Trek TOS complete score boxsets. I'm waiting to obtain season 1. This will take all night. I'll sit back and watch some MAGNUM, P.I. while I wait.
There is so much there I've been looking for. CARRIE is the standard release, but it's something. I've got BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES and DUCK, YOU SUCKER! added to my collection as well.

quite something to listen to. Fair to say that this was used in a different form across the Star Wars prequels (especially Revenge of the Sith).

Subsequent tracks have a prequel-ish feel. Forget which one...reminded me most, Track 7 "Making a Comeback" -brooding nature that was in Episode III when Palpatine crowns Vader before marching on the Jedi Temple.
I say this as I listen again to Skyfall's "Tennyson". So I know nothing.

Since REVENGE OF THE SITH is the most operatic film and score of the saga, the comparisons make sense.

I don't mind, Williams is king as a composer. Trouble is I listened to the prequels long before I heard Nixon. And I still not watched Nixon, even if I brought the film a few weeks back. So seeing it in context might help :)
