| Cheers, Harms. I'm reminded quite a bit of FACE/OFF for some reason (Woo's movie also has some scenes in a prison, plus two leads with plenty of charisma and presence, oodles of 1980s-style action and some slightly futuristic elements), and I can only hope that ESCAPE PLAN will be as much fun. The trailer does make it look pretty decent (Sly and Arnie seem on good form), so I'm looking forward to this flick.
Stallone really does seem to be on a roll these days. I'm also looking forward to the upcoming GRUDGE MATCH (co-starring Robert De Niro) and, of course, THE EXPENDABLES 3. I still need to see BULLET TO THE HEAD. |

| I've heard wonderful things about BULLET TO THE HEAD. First time Sly's worked with a truly great director (Walter Hill) in ages. |

Well, BULLET TO THE HEAD has hardly had across-the-board raves (for instance, an AICN review was memorably headlined "An Actual Bullet To The Head Is A Viable Alternative To Seeing BULLET TO THE HEAD, Says The Kidd"). My expectations of it are actually pretty low, but I'm hoping to find it a reasonably enjoyable bit of escapism and a half-decent rainy day rental, if you like - just like, well, the EXPENDABLES flicks. - Largo's Shark wrote:

For my money, Sly is himself a more interesting director than Hill. |

| I think this looks like a lot of fun, too.
I, too, have heard good things about BULLET TO THE HEAD. |

For my money, Sly is himself a more interesting director than Hill. Sorry, nah. FWIW, I only read AICN if I need a laugh - and that's almost always the comment section rather than the article itself. |

| Amazing to think that Stallone is almost seventy. He really is the Mick Jagger of action movies. |

| These guys are practically antiques, but I'm glad they're still fixtures in the cinema scene. |
