To start things off, a moving Christmas message from Christopher Lee.
What are your plans for this year? Seeing relatives or spending Christmas alone?

Very sweet video. My best wishes to Mr. Lee.
As for Christmas, I'll be with family. The people around the table at Christmas has fallen in numbers and we'll recount the fun times we had with those we've lost in my family. Drinking, eating, and laughing. That's what Christmas is about, for me. Sorry, but the religious aspect doesn't much interest me. And I'm not even a Commie liberal.
I've got to pick up a gift for my mother and sister, though. As usual, I've got no idea what to get them.

Family...in-laws, I feel blessed, my mom-in-law says I'm her favourite daughter in law and I have a present to prove it.
Although...I'm no longer the lady of my house as my daughter has her father working overtime getting the decorations up and this Christmas, she'll be baking the cake (with my supervision of course).
And oh yeah, a good fuck under the mistletoe when everyone else is asleep. Well except mom-in-law, who can read my glow and tells me catty things.

For the first time in my entire life, I won't be able to see any of my family on Christmas Day. Oh well, I've got the missus, the mistletoe, nice new house, whiskey, peanuts, mince pies, a christmas tree, christmas off work and of course a copy of Majesty's, so it could be a lot worse.

Brother will be back in town, so that's nice. Besides that I'm pretty much working all the time anymore.
Christmas Eve I'll take time to enjoy Matt Smith's final outing as The Doctor and enjoy some alcohol and cigs. In addition, I just ordered about a dozen crappy action novels...I've read mostly non-fiction all year, so now it is time to indulge in some quick, fast paced books for some fun. Probably take the time to knock out one of those books in the early morning hours.

Christmas eve is all about family, me cooking for the whole lot and then it is time for some presents.
Christmas day is sleeping late, finishing the leftovers, reading a Doctor WHo novel I know I get for Xmas & then time for the main event namely the farewell of Matt Smiths Doctor.
Christmas day two, yes we have two of those, wandering if the weather permits it, reading, having dinner at my mums place. And afterwards starting to diet untill new years eve.

Tomorrow's my last day in work until the 27th .Up to Mum's on Christmas Eve, sister and brother-in-law are coming over from England this year. We're going out for Christmas lunch out this year for the first ever time, so that'll be nice. Will be back down home sometime on Boxing Day evening.

Err no for the sake of clarity and lest I be tainted by the idea I would actually volunteer to listen to Blur anywhere, it was my Bah humbug variation as I continue to struggle to get into the festive mood.
All things being equal I will have my Brothers & Sisters and their respective families descend on me Christmas day for a party in the evening... which is always nice and if it hasn't before should finally convince me Christmas is here and when they have gone, assuming I am sober enough, I will catch up on the Christmas Dr Who episode.

Something I completely did not anticipate.
I've gotten 6 requests for my cheesecake....so I'll be up all night in the kitchen. Mr Bitch has the graveyard shift at a project he's working on so it will keep me occupied.
Well that and the telly I put in the kitchen.

Having some family over for Christmas Eve. I'd better start drinking now if I plan on putting up with some of them.

A pretty good holiday for myself this year. Haul included Yojimbo and A Night to Remember from Criterion, a collection of old Batman comics from the 1960s (the ones that inspired the Adam West show), a prequel novel to BioShock, the first two volumes of the Berserk manga, some shaving soap and the usual assortment of clothes and socks among other things.
The best gift of all, however, was a a little surprise from Mrs. Sykes

Speaking of bio's going to check one on Oliver Reed at some point.
As for Christmas gifts...I got a clock and journal. What can I say, times are tough in Chez Hilly.
