| So with the news of SPECTRE what are you thoughts on the future of Craig. Does Craig fulfill his contract for a 5th film or calls it quits?
If the next Bond film comes out in 2018, Craig will tie Rog for the longest tenured Bond at 12 years. I can't forsee it continuing past that. Even though Craig will only be in his early 50s by the time 2021/Bond 26 rolls around, I'd be surprised if he sticks around for that long. |

| I think the fifth will be his last, leaving the new decade open for a new 007. |

| I think at least one more Craig v. SPECTRE film would be appropriate. After that, the old boy can enjoy retiring on a mountain of coin.
Or mimic Connery and push for a remake of Zardoz. |

| Craig's still in good shape. I could see him doing two more. After that, I'd guess it'd be time to hang up the bow tie. |

I know, I know. I forgot all about Fass. OK, given Craig's age, I change my vote to retire him with SPECTRE and hand over to The Bender for B25. |

| I like Fassbender, but I don't think I want him as Bond. He's too connected to other roles in my head.
Luke Evans would maybe be a decent choice. But that's a bit down the road yet. |

| I would have said Fassbender back when he was still an up and coming actor. But yeah, he's pretty much a star by this point, so he doesn't need Bond. Plus, I would have preferred him in a 50s period piece. |

| I think Fassbender could work as a villain. Maybe with a bit of makeup to age him a little. He's a quality actor, and I think the opportunity to include him would be too good to pass up. The series has been attracting a lot of high-calibre actors of late in the likes of Bardem, Fiennes, Waltz and Seydoux - not to mention Craig - so I think Fassbender would be pretty high on a list of actors worth chasing after. |

| I'm all for Craig bowing out in favour of Fassbender. The sooner the better in my opinion. |

| This should be Daniel Craig's last Bond movie. He will be 47 when "Spectre" is released, which is already somewhat pushing the edge of believability in terms of him being a field agent. Especially since Daniel looks older rather than younger than he is. If he did one more after "Spectre" then he would at least be near fifty, if not older, by the time the movie is released. |

| I heard they are shooting Spectre and Bond 25 back-to-back, to allow him to do one more movie, and then Craig will bow out.
This is just what I've heard on the grapevine.... |

| That would be nice, but that's not going to happen. Spectre has a 7 month shoot scheduled. Two 7 months shoot back to back, even with a generous two or three month break would be ridiculously grueling. Especially a Bond shoot. No way they could put together anything decent in that span of time.

| With Craig apparently struggling after QOS because of the physical work required and at a younger age, I can't imagine him stretching out till his around 50. |

| I think Craig just wants to enjoy a few years of shagging and drinking and rolling around his bed made of money. Can't blame him. |

| The two-part back to back idea was simply an idea kicked around by Logan, but that was well before EON obtained the rights to Blofeld and SPECTRE, and since then the two-part idea has been scrapped. If any of that two-parter idea has been saved, my guess would be that it's much closer to how the Connery films played out, having a thread with SPECTRE but each film remaining pretty standalone. |

| I can see Craig going on for one more, why not? He's looking mature but not too old yet. If he's fit for it, if they don't put the fall guys on screen longer than Craig himself I say go for it. Then Fassbender, would be ideal IMO. |

| Hmmm, but Fassbender will be in his 40s by the time Craig steps down. Gonna need someone younger, Monica Bellucci notwithstanding. |

| Only other person I can remotely think of is Henry Cavill...he'll be 37 in 2020.

| 40 is the new 35, I think Fassbender (not for nothing my favourite) could step in at 40 and go over 50. Not a bouncer he is, making for a contrast to Craig. And a good actor if they hand him good material. Cavill is Superman now, depends if his UNCLE franchise takes off. Would he be free to take on another big role?
Though EON will by all means go with someone we don't think of yet, that's just their style now. |

He'll be free. This film has *BOMB* written all over it. They began filming (and finished) over a year and a half ago and still no teaser, no trailer, no poster, and the film has been rescheduled to mid-January (that wasn't the original release date; I think they were aiming for Summer 2014 or Holiday 2014), and now it's been pushed back to mid-August (2015). |
