| Must be exciting for Bautista. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY was a big step forward in his career, but you can't top Bond.
Looking forward to seeing what he brings to the film. |

Me, too. But somehow, I doubt Craig's Bond will be looking forward to it. |

| He was decent in Guardians. Of course his Bond role will be an entirely different proposition.

| Still don't know what his "hook" is going to be. Let's look at past villains:
Dr.No: had hands of steel FRWL: Rosa Klebb (deadly shoe) GF: deadly razor brimmed hat DAF: lesbian and gay assassins with snappy wit trying to kill 007 LALD: Tee Hee had a hook for a hand; Baron Samedi may have had voo doo powers TMWTGG: midget assassin SWLM: giant with razor sharp teeth AVTAK: Amazonian black bodyguard to the product of a Nazi concentration camp experiment TLD: chameleon-like Necros kills with deadly headphones GE: Xenia kills men between her thighs TND: Stamper cannot feel any pain (cut out of the final print) TWINE: Renard cannot feel any pain, making him stronger CR: LeChiffre weeps blood from one eye? SF: Removeable facial implants
What's left for Hinx to do? Eat his victims? Throw dirty underwear at them?
Bond's foes have been skinny and fat, loud and quiet; tall and short; black and white; gay and straight; men and women. What's left? |

Turns out Chris Pratt's character was actually Bond's brother. |

| I can think of plenty of things:
* Throw his voice so that he can lure Bond into a fight in pitch darkness * Double-jointed so that grappling-based martial arts like judo are useless (would depend on the actor) * Colour-blindness, which allows him to see things outside the visible spectrum of light * Over-production of adrenaline, which pushes him into a complete fury * Immunity to some kind of hallucinogenic compound which gets secreted through his skin and affects his victims * Some kind of hypnotic skill |

| I've never seen it.
And I was thinking that only one of them, rather than all of them, would be appropriate.
I actually really like the idea of a henchman secreting or releasing a hallucinogen through their sweat. Although it might work better if it were a female assassin with tiny needles on the underside of her nails so that she just has to nick Bond's skin and he starts hallucinating. If nothing else, it would make for a good segue to the credits. |

| I think he'll be a Red Grant-type of henchman...just some huge, hulking dude who says very little, looks scary and wrecks people. And I'd be fine with that. |

I hope not, he had some charisma in GOTG and I'm hoping he incorporates that in Spectre....the large, lumbering klutz of a henchman is kinda outdated now. |

| First look at Hinx: Not sure if Jaws/Oddjob capacity yet, but could be of a Mayday/Onatopp level. |

Not sure if Jaws/Oddjob capacity yet, but could be of a Mayday/Onatopp level. https://www.yahoo.com/movies/james-bond-spectre-dave-bautista-mr-hinx-112141231662.html After rising to fame as an MMA fighter and then Guardians of the Galaxy's no-nonsense bruiser Drax the Destroyer, Dave Bautista will show off a more nuanced and debonair side as the henchmen Mr. Hinx the new James Bond movie SPECTRE, directed by Sam Mendes. “When I came over to meet Sam, I only asked two questions,” Bautista told Empire Magazine in its new cover story. “I asked him if Mr. Hinx was a badass. He said, ‘Yes, he’s a badass.’ I said, ‘Well, is Mr. Hinx intelligent?’ He said, ‘Very.’ That’s what I like about Mr. Hinx. He’s very well-dressed and very well-mannered. I’m not just here to fight people. He has a sense of humor.” He also added, referring to Drax’s difficulty with figures of speech: “He definitely knows what a metaphor is.” The character, who sports a dense goatee and newsboy-style cap in the first-look image published in the magazine above, will chase Daniel Craig’s Bond to the Austrian Alps, where he will try to kidnap Dr. Madeleine Swann, played by French star Léa Seydoux. (Monica Bellucci plays the other “Bond Girl” in the film). The burly Bautista “slimmed down” to 265 pounds for the part, which will likely be the second-in-command baddie in the film. |

I'm hoping that one day we'll be questioning whether a villain can be on the Hinx level. If ever there was an opportunity to create a truly iconic villain, it's now. |
