Any major plans? Expecting to give or get anything interesting?
I'll be at my mom's for Christmas dinner. Plan on getting totally hammered, as usual. This fucking holiday becomes less and less interesting as the years move by.

I took full advantage of free gift-wrapping at the mall.
And the clerk had to wrap spare tyres for a Honda Civic.
What if I had a fucking Monster Truck??
I'll be up all night wrapping gifts for the Dog Bond crew at home.
Got my daughter her own 60 inch tv. It's bigger than her.
Mr Dog is looking here to see what I got him. Fuck off. You'll get yours soon

Too right. Fucking hate this gift card fever. Was planning on buying my cousins novelty items like dancing monkeys, but my aunt blocked the idea.
Will be staying with my extended family in Kent from tomorrow till the 28th. As usual I'll be getting shitfaced. Not much else to do in Folkestone.

Left the ham alone for just a few seconds, and the puppy got it.
Little mother fucker moves faster than lightning.
So she got an early Christmas...have to go get another one now
Still have 2 cakes to bake...one with lots of rum in it, the other with just a tinge of brandy.
One strange thing...the tv in the kitchen turned itself on...and get this, HBO was showing The Conjuring.
Christmas shopping is 90% complete...I leave the last bit of fun for Christmas Eve.

Gave this to a good friend: http://shopwhitney.org/hopperdrawing.html
Thought it'd make for a pretty interesting addition to her shelf. I missed the exhibit last year, unfortunately.

I'll be having dinner with the family as always (steak this time instead of roast beef, thank goodness). Afterwards I'll be heading to my friend's house late at night for a Christmas get together with friends and booze.

Nothing better than some John Barry and booze to encourage you to do things that angers feminists.

Mum, myself and sister will be together tomorrow. We're going out for Christmas lunch for the second one in a row, so that'll be nice.
Not expecting anything earth-shattering on the gift front ... I would self-indulgently like peace to watch the Doctor Who Christmas special, but I doubt I'll get it. Ah well, at least we live in an age where 'catch-up' viewing couldn't be easier.

Christmas eve is the big family thing. Each year has another host, this year it's at my oldest brothers place.
Christmas day, we usually have a rather short Christmas brunch and then go our separate ways by 3-4 PM.

Oppers is my usual stocking stuffer, but Lagvulin is stiff opposition.

Merry Christmas to my cyber buddies!
Having an Italian feast at lunch time with some family (14 people), and some more family/friends coming around later on, where we normally get out leftovers and keep eating and drinking.

The majority of my family is holed up at my mother's house with a nasty virus, so my wife and I will be spending Christmas alone this year. This actually suits me fine. I like having Christmas on my terms.
Tonight, we'll have a nice dinner of enchiladas and refried beans (my wife's father is Mexican, so this is traditional for her). We'll then sit down to watch Scrooge (1970, with Albert Finney), which is our standard Christmas Eve viewing. After that, we'll pop on down to church for a candlelight service, then come back home to enjoy some chocolate creme brulee and port.
Tomorrow morning, we'll open presents with hot chocolate, followed by a breakfast of homemade coffee cake and egg casserole with sparkling wine. If the family is mostly over their illness by the afternoon, we may go out to a movie (probably Into the Woods).

Didn't know cinemas in the States opened on the day itself, Harms. Not a 'done thing' here in the UK.

They're open over here too. I went to see Goldeneye on Christmas Day in 1995 and the cinema was full.
Got new ham, I'm having difficulty keeping people out of the kitchen, they have sticky fingers.

Yeah, we've seen a film on Christmas as far back as I can remember. Many big films actually open on Christmas.

Whew, what a day.
And have to repeat if for New Year's as far as cooking and baking is concerned
Going shopping for fireworks later, myself and 12 neighbours have formed a posse and there will be quite a number of others around (going by last year for comparison), including 4 hotels.
If Ambler was here, I'd tell him that both himself and Idris Elba can take this up their candy arses....and fire off a rocket.
