| If some could be found that enhances rather than uglifies its location, great. But it's a fine line. |

Well, one of the interest groups that took issue with filming was upset about the rubbish and graffiti that can be found across the city. I'm pretty sure the photo was taken at a staging area; I've also seen some showing a practice run along the waterfront, and the whole area looks to have been cleaned up. I don't know if that was cleaned up by production or if they just found a clean patch. Honestly, I'm a little bit concerned about the way the sequence is shaping up. The series has never experimented with a chase between performance vehicles except for the disaster that was DAD. And with the photos from the set being right on the waterfront - which isn't really a road, but more of a concourse - the first thing that I thought of was GREASE. It has the potential to be brilliant, but it could also come across like something out of THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS. |

| Yeah I find the car chase in DAD to be one of the highlights of that film. |

| I found it ridiculous because Zao's car was loaded with gadgets for no apparent reason other than to make the chase "more exciting". It was one of those moments that defied common sense - where did he get it from? |

| After all the Italian hiccups I've been hearing about, I hope SPECTRE's scenes are among the most memorable. |

I have to wonder about some of those. There was reportedly a group opposed to filming taking place in a 2,000 year-old cemetery for fear it would disturb a fragile site (which, unlike ghost welfare, is a legitimate concern), but production was able to find an alternative location, secure permission to film there, dress the location to serve as a suitable double, and shoot without any (apparent) interruption to the schedule. It's the sort of thing that would have to have been addressed during the initial scouting phase, so I wonder if that wasn't the case and we're only hearing about it now. As for the other issues, the Society for the Protection of Undead Welfare has apparently come to nothing, production has assured the city that they will take steps to avoid damaging the fountains, and it wouldn't be difficult to clean up graffiti and/or rubbish when on location. |
