1. Tosca
We all know why.

2. Bond contemplating murder-suicide.
Harkens back to the end of Fleming's MR. Very intense scene and a refreshing change of pace for a Bond film.

3. What's Keeping You Awake?
Nice little scene with Mathis on the plane. Craig and Giananni do a great job here. More poignant than his death scene, actually.

Honourable mention: Camille confronts Dominic Greene at the docks. Really dig this scene. The cinematography is gorgeous, but what's happening is bizarre. And I like the exchange between Greene and Camille… Feels very Bondian.

1. Tosca
Right from the moment Bond interrupts Quantum's meeting to Greene having the Special Branch man killed it's for the most part well-shot and exciting.

2. Bond leaves Greene in the desert
A dark and satisfying way to finish off the character.  Bond leaving a can of oil as a reminder of what Greene had done to Fields was a great touch.

3. "James, move your ass!"
I loved seeing Felix Leiter back in this film and especially because of Jeffrey Wright's performance here which has a laid-back, professional sense to it. You can tell this Felix has been in the game for a while and a bit worn-down by his superior's dirty business.

Ugh, this'll be hard chaps.

For one the DBS. Any excuse to see an Aston in action. Editing aside, the zoom in at the very beginning inter-cutting with the DBS is not too bad.

2. Mathis and Bond
At Mathis' home. Bond seems ashamed a little at what happened before whereas Mathis seems to shrug it off a little. What's done is done. You're a bastard but life continues.

3. Desert
Dispatching Greene.

I thought it might change.

Interesting no. 2 choice. Like most of QOS, the quieter moments work best. Helps when Gianinni has great presence, even if he, like most actors in this film, are wasted. Simple scene of intelligence sharing in a beautifully photographed home. Shame Gemma (not Arterton) wasn't more beautiful.

Always found dispatching Greene a little underwhelming. But then a grander death wouldn't have been justified at Bond's hand.

It was a great effort first time round to choose a top 3 and yesterday was no different. Thus no.3 was barrel scraping.

Fair call!

Don't mind Greene's dispatching ... Bond giving him the can of oil is a suitably 'cold' nod to what Greene had done to Fields.

It reminded me of how Dirk Pitt dispatches the bad guy in Sahara (the book that is). For Bond sending Greene to his death that way made sense.

I don't mind that symmetry however it still somehow feels more like Bond learning a lesson that he can't kill everyone... It just feels like the film makers are trying to be clever...

I also feel we are teetering toward the political aspects Haggis and Forster wanted to ram down our throats, involving capitalist greed ('villains these days are suits') and Leftist virtue-signalling or whatever ('we are nicer than the rest. We don't kill. Let the other evil capitalists take care of Greene') despite the fact that Bond's journey over CR/QOS becoming a 00 is that he is licensed to do so.

My head hurts.
