| No end credits answers:
1. Bond vs Scaramanga Quirky and tense sequence between two - as Scaramanga puts it - titans. The presence of Moore and the great presence of Lee. And the weird set of the fun palace adds for an interesting backdrop. And I love the shot of Bond and Scaramanga back to back on the beach.
2. Dinner with Scaramanga Lee possesses so much charm that it's hard not to enjoy this scene, despite Goodnight's two lines in the scene. Reminiscent of the dinner scene between Dr. No and Bond, but just not as well written. Makes me wonder how Christopher Lee would have been opposite Sean Connery had Fleming offered the role to his cousin before Wiseman got the role.
3. Scaramanga kills Hai Fat Lee is fantastic and we get to see him assemble the golden gun. Probably the film's most iconic scene?
Honourable mention to Bond travelling to Scaramanga's Island - love the cinematography and music, and also to the car chase. |

| Going to have to return with a clearer head. Seriously struggling to think of a scene I like. |

| 1. The Car Chase (minus the stupid slide whistle during the bridge jump) Bond, err I mean, The English Secret Agent from England is no stranger to great car chases and this one is a pretty fun one to watch. Barry's score here is fantastic plus ..... *gets behind bulletproof glass* .... I do really like seeing J.W. Pepper again no matter how fish out of water it is for him to be in this film. Scaramanga taking off via flying car might've been much but here I can roll with it.
2. Scaramanga's Speech after killing Andrea Chilling especially thanks to Lee's commanding voice. Although the scene is more focused on the Solex it's still effective at making the viewer a bit unnerved like any good cold-blooded killer's speech should.
3. Scaramanga kills Hai Fat For the reasons FieldsMan mentions.
Honorable mention to Bond traveling to Scaramanga's Island and everything else J.W. related. |

| Favourite is a relative term, as nothing in this film really works anything like as well as it should imo.
1. The flight to the Island (a gorgeous and fascinating location) 2. Moore commenting 'Grizzlyland' 3. Bond pushing the kid in the river. |

| I still have no clear idea after the viewing the other day. So, we'll see.
1) M's wide-eyed expression after Bond has cocked up
2) Chew Me
3) Scaramanga's come-uppance. |

| Chew Me. One of the finest creations in all Bond films. As for your no. 1 choice... I like to imagine that was Lee's expression whilst he was reading the script! |

| Lee must've wondered why he had bothered turning up that day. The only male actor aside from [Christopher] Lee who seems to enjoy being there is the energy bloke on the Queen Elizabeth. "This is really quite exciting...!"

| Did Lee ever make his feelings on the film known?
Admittedly it's not exactly a stretch to imagine him being a little perturbed at where cousin Ian's creation had ended up, hehehe. |

| I'll have to have a look. Sure I read/heard once he wasn't entirely enamoured of where they had taken Bond but whether that was for TMWTGG or generally I don't know. He had a good time though by the looks of it. |

| It's come back to me that he may have said it was one of his 'happiest experiences in making a film'. Although it doesn't necessarily follow that he thought the film was any good, lol. |

| I recall Lee saying as much too. I suppose any opportunity to work on an island would be a happy experience - especially if you're in as fine company as Sir Rog. |

Honourable mention to Bond travelling to Scaramanga's Island - love the cinematography and music, and also to the car chase. I'll change these to: 1. Bond in Macau. Bond arriving in Macau, finding Lazar's home, interrogating him, the brief casino scene and tailing Andrea is by far the most atmospheric part of the film. Moore is on fine form here. If only the rest of the film had this level of focus and ambience. 2. Car chase It's a lot of fun. By this stage the film is more or less a lost cause by Pepper's presence adds a shot of energy. There's some great stunt work here and some really impressive shots (particularly this angle: https://youtu.be/5hPKEiSjWtI?t=229 ). I also like when the Bond theme kicks in. Slide whistle, not so much. 3. Scaramanga kills Hai Fat For the reasons I state above. But this also feels like like the sole moment Scaramanga is the classic Bond villain he is screaming to be. He wants something. There's a strong overtone of menace combined with Lee's natural presence. The setting, the gun itself. Honourable mention the fight in Saida's dressing room. I don't care about the reflection. It's Moore's best fight scene because it's so brutal. It's also engaging because of the lack of edits. It's choreographed rather well! |

| Agreed ... it's one of those 'Bond using whatever's to hand to win' punch-ups. Hairspray, mirror and what have you. |

| Finally, one of my all-time favorites is getting a little love! My three favorite parts? Lessee... The first forty minutes, The second forty minutes and The third forty minutes (I realize that includes the end titles – sorry). To be more specific, my three favorite elements are: Location work in Hong Kong and Bangkok, which I had visited five years earlier, Christopher Lee as 007’s ‘equal’ – although with a Kananga-sized ego, and The golden Gun itself – the coolest gadget in the series. I fulfilled a lifelong dream when I finally got my prop replica in 2011. Plus a bevy of beautiful Asian girls, Britt Eckland in a bikini (no concealed anything), shiny cars and a John Barry soundtrack. Sure it’s not on the same scale as OHMSS or TSWLM, but it doesn’t have to be. Like Tania’s mouth, it just the right size – for me, that is. |

| Didn't realise you rated TMWTGG so highly. Which Asian girls are you referring to? Chew Me and... Hip's nieces? |

| Don't forget: "Heaven - definitely Heaven" and the traditional dancers in the Phu Yuck scene. |

| Ah, of course. Hmm... As far as the bevy of Asian girls are concerned, I'm personally more taken by the Japanese in YOLT (Aki, Kissy, Tiger's girls), or the elegance of Michelle Yeoh, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
On a less primitive note, I do like those traditional dancers in TMTWGG. Ups the travelogue component in the film. |

| 1. Scaramangas fun house, It's exactly that...FUN! but i'm referring more to the gangster scene than the Bond scene here, as usual John barrys music brings so much to the party.
2. Car chase, including of course the legendary bridge jump (done in one take) but puleeeeze why the ridiculous fukcin sound effect? it just sucks all the joy out of a brilliant stunt.
3. Bonds escape from the island, lots of explosions and fire and stuff... to be honest i struggled a bit to think of a third scene that i could honestly describe as a favourite...which doesn't say much for the overall film now does it? |

| It's certainly disjointed but I think the film's biggest strength is its atmosphere. There's a sinister undertone- at least throughout the first half when Bond thinks he's being targeted by a top assassin. Layer the location work of Macau and Thailand over the top and it's rather ambient. |
