As much as Make It Last All Night now gives this thread more than just a faint whiff of "Game Set and Match", I'll still offer a contribution...

What a damn perfectly apt couplet for the introduction of Dalton.
BTW, I've always thought that All Time High's lyrics contained the word "win" as opposed to "wait", as it's a song about reaching an all time high, with other lyrics such as "I don't want to waste a waking moment" suggesting that this is a song about reaching for the heights, not patiently hanging around. Just my two cents, as much as I hate to disagree with a musical stalwart such as the esteemed Mr Shark.

I love the sound of the words in the Duran song, though that line evokes more a sense of making love with a woman at the wrong time of the month.

No kidding. Vaguely disgusting.
Yeah, M007RE, I recognized the song, although that is the first time I've seen the lyrics. Pretty bloody risque for 1981.

Only a Roger Moore flick could get away with it. But I think it does fit that scene very well.

I kept going to mention that and forgetting
That always slipped by me till I heard the Shirley Bassey version where suddenly it became obvious, while Bassey Sings Bond was a horrible album, her delivery of that lyric spelt it out haha.

Damn straight. Not only is it a perfect summation of the quickfire seduction and shaggery of Sir Rog's Bond, not only does it also perfectly soundtrack those seedy guards getting it on with the pool babes at Gonzalez's place, but it's also just a brilliantly "tell it like it is" alternative to Don Black's metaphors. Add the irresistably classic late 70s/early 80s sound, and the result is an utter classic among the Bond song canon.

Whenever someone mentions Daniel Craig I always think of Peter Mandelson.
Strange.

Yeah, but have you heard the rest of the album? Shirley had been in the gin in the recording studio.
Nothing stronger, I'm sure.
