Last update from 9 May 2009 include second view of CR (the tv premiere of CR from 13 April 2009.) Without second and third view of QOS. In total i have seen the last 2 Bond movies 3 times and the next views should not earlier then the three disc dvd of CR and the not yet enouched new version of QOS.

I stil consider to swith Yolt and Die Another Day, on this way i give Yolt and Dr No more credit.

Understandable. When I was a young Bond fan, MR, YOLT and TMWTGG were my top 3. They're not now but I'm still keeping all 3 of them in my top half, whether it's for nostalgia or otherwise. I just hope you never lose your appreciation for Paris McKenna Carver. ;)

These rankings are pretty much in cement. The best movies are the oldest movies. The series doesn't get better as it moves along. It doesn't collapse mind you but it doesn't improve.
The first 7 films can't be improved on anyway.
There is potential though for a great new Connery inspired Bond, to some day jump ahead of the 70's 80's Moore era.
For now the Rog films are the best of the rest.

Count me in as another Diamonds supporter--it's quintessential Bond as far as I'm concerned. CR keeps slipping down my rankings. As time goes by, the more I see it as a big action movie with it's main plot point being a game of Texas Hold 'em, with a teenage love story tacked on to the end. I also include NSNA in the list, because it is a feature length Bond film, which comes a lot closer to the spirit of the original films than a lot of the later entries.
