| Can only speak for myself, but I've yet to re-watch NTTD and am in no hurry to do so.
Skyfall had that "new film" staying power for a while with me, but never had it with SP and NTTD.
Kinda sucks that the last Bond film I liked was made 11 years ago. Soon we'll be at Star Wars-level gaps between watchable and shyte. |

Maybe, or it could go the other way. I have enjoyed TND much more previously (and DAD was at the bottom of the list) , but GE and TWINE are the two Bond films I have never liked, except for bits and pieces here and there. Those two have always lurked near the bottom. |

With KKBB, hope springs eternal that TWINE, DAD and TND will one day be selected for preservation by UNESCO because of their cultural and artistic significance. |

That one has dropped for me, but I do have a nostalgic relationship to it as my first Bond film. |

| An interesting and eclectic ranking, PK.
Not many would have TMWTGG in the top 10, but it gets an unfair rap sometimes. |

Both of those have risen into my top ten. Goldfinger has always resided there. LALD is the only Hamilton film I don´t care much for. It has dropped all the way to the bottom. There are still some things to enjoy there. |

Why it hasn't happened yet is beyond me. - CJB wrote:

Kinda sucks that the last Bond film I liked was made 11 years ago. Soon we'll be at Star Wars-level gaps between watchable and shyte. I'm in this camp. I gave YOLT a rewatch last night and all that was at the back of my mind was, Bond and Blofeld are brothers. I've seen SP a few times and that's the impact it had. I'd rather not give NTTD another watch and have it ruin OHMSS and WHATTITW. |

| Yep. SP and NTTD just make me wish that the series had ended with SF or even friggin' DAD. |

| I'm hoping once the reigns are handed over to MGW's son/s, the pendulum will swing back towards sanity. |

Unfortunately, in this world the pendulum swings only one way, and that's toward ever-increasing madness. In other words, don't get your hopes up. |

| I did feel similarly but I have to say, as someone who works with teenagers, there appears to be a bit of a kickback against the woke mob lately. It’s as if it’s the modern way for youth to rebel against the status quo and authority. So if that continues and they give voice to the wider, silenced majority (after all the SJWs are just a loud few) we may just see a bit more balance.
That said, what’s occurring at the universities around the world is absolute insanity but then those institutions have long been bases for unhinged idealists with no life experience, so it’s not entirely unexpected or different to what’s come before. |
