| I like how TWINE has been pushed up a little, Tiff. I think it may be a little too hopeful to want it to keep moving up in your rankings... ;)
It's probably the last Bond film with two Bond girls that have considerable sex appeal.
DAD: Miranda Frost is great, and Jinx has a great body, but her personality doesn't do it for me. CR: Solange is great, Vesper's a little cold. QOS: Fields is bangin', and Camille is hot, and there are parts where she has a sassiness (When she walks to the docks after meeting Bond, for example), but overall, her vendetta overpowers her sex appeal. SF: Severine is bangin', Eve is... Moneypenny. |

One of the closest rankings to mine that I've seen all this time! Same top 10 (although in different order), identical bottom two, and the same set of films in between. |

| I'm quite sure this is subject to change but my list is currently:
23: The Man with the Golden Gun 22: On Her Majesty's Secret Service 21: For Your Eyes Only 20: The Living Daylights 19: A View to a Kill 18: Die Another Day 17: Diamonds Are Forever 16: Moonraker 15: Tomorrow Never Dies 14: You Only Live Twice 13: Quantum of Solace 12: Live and Let Die 11: Octopussy 10: Licence to Kill 9: The World Is Not Enough 8: Thunderball 7: The Spy Who Loved Me 6: Goldfinger 5: Skyfall 4: Dr. No 3: GoldenEye 2: From Russia With Love 1: Casino Royale
----
Don't hate me too much for my OHMSS placement. I am well aware that it's an excellent film (I LOVE EVERY BOND FILM). I just don't like Lazenby that much as Bond and I watch a Bond movie to see Bond, ya know? Only movie in the entire canon where the co-stars easily outshine Bond; both a good and bad thing. |

| Very interesting list to say the least ;)
Love how you have TWINE and DN in your top 10. TND, FYEO and TLD are too low for me, and LALD, TSWLM and CR a little to high. But hey, it's not my ranking! Aside from LTK and arguably TWINE, you have a top 10 that many think are the strongest entries in the Bond canon. |

They are all subject to change because it seems like every time I watch a particular film my opinion of it changes. And I read your rankings on the first page. Very interesting! What I love about the Bond films is that two people can completely disagree on where a certain movie goes and they are both 100% and 100% right at the same time. As long as we can both agree we're Bond fans that's all that really ever matters to me. Every list is a good list... P.S. This forum is cool and it's nice to have stumbled upon it. |

Is the OHMSS ranking the source of the "unorthodox?" Or do I have others that go considerably against the grain? |

Or do I have others that go considerably against the grain? TWINE in the top 10 along with TLD and FYEO in the bottom 5. Also, MR and DAF are generally ranked a lot higher here than on more mainstream 007 fan forums. |

My opinions on the films change every time I watch them. I've got the Bond 50 set coming soon and I'm sure my updated list will be fairly dissimilar to this one, honestly. I understand all the hate for DAD. It's by no means a great, or even good, film in the traditional sense. With that being said, if I leave my brain FAR BEHIND at the door and enjoy a solid performance from Brosnan and some crazy (albeit stupid) action and gadgets, it entertains me QUITE A BIT. Bad villain though. I haven't viewed Daylights in awhile, so that is sure to change. From what I remember I really hated the villains aside from Necros. Whitaker is my least favorite in the entire series (what kind of name is that?). FYEO is similar in that it has one of the worst villains (in my opinion) of the whole series and while I typically like a more "minimalist" Bond movie there just isn't a whole lot memorable about it compared to some others. To each their own. I'll take any Bond movie over just about any other movie every day of the week. |

| I do believe DAD isn't the worst either and would go even further to say it ranks second in Brosnan's four flicks. |

To each their own. I'll take any Bond movie over just about any other movie every day of the week. DAD's missteps (for me) - the theme song, the tipping over too far into 'sci-fi' aspects (face-changing with DNA manipulation, the 'invisible' Aston and Graves' 'Robocop' suit), the horrible parasurf sequence. And you're 'hit over the head' with quite a few of the 'nods' to the 40th anniversary, whereas the 50th ones in Skyfall are by and large much more subtly done. But the rest of it could be worse :) . |

But the rest of it could be worse :) . I agree. There's a TERRIBLE amount of flaws with DAD. The IronMan/Transformers suit at the end is just horrible. I guess what I meant to say is that amongst all of the hilarious bullshit (the surfing sequence as well as the "iron man fight" are my least favorite scenes in the film) it still entertains me as a mindless action film. And I think Brosnan gives a solid performance. Focus on the right things, leave your brain at the door, and it's an enjoyable enough film. |

| Like I say, the rest could be worse ... the likes of the hovercraft chase, sword-fight and (non-invisible) Aston/Jag 'duel' are fine and dandy. |

| There are worse Bond girls in the series, IMHO ... Stacey 'snuck up on by a fucking AIRSHIP' Sutton and Mary 'sure I look good, but this level of dumbness would surely count me out of field-work' Goodnight for two. |

| Personally, I think the only Bond girls worse than Jinx are Goodhead (pretentious) and Pam (obnoxious). Giacinta is at least hot, but she is more irritating than the aforementioned Bond babes.
Big fan of Stacy Sutton, to be honest :) |

| Eh, Pam might be fiesty and independent and all that ... but she's still capable of being jealously pissed off when Lupe reveals she and Bond slept together.
And you gotta cut Goodhead some slack ... she's been fighting that surname all her life, for a start ;) . |

Throw in Christmas Jones and you have my 3 least favorite Bond girls in the entire canon. Jones is my least favorite because she legitimately HURTS that movie. In a tangible way. She's THAT bad. |

And this is a very good thing. As a result I have adjusted TWINE considerably upwards in my latest rankings. The Craig-films have now also been included in the main Bond ranking as opposed to the alternative Bond films. I have made significant changes to my list in the wake of my last full Bond blu-athon, DN-SF, all 23 films in order. I've dropped a few of the less worthy Rog films lower, and elevated both of the Dalts movies, and shown a little more Brozzer love, but not too much. The top end remains locked and likely always will, especially the top nine. Although there is fluidity within the Connery ranks. The Connery films dominate, followed by Laz and the two earliest Moore's. Spy and MR are always vulnerable though to being knocked down a peg, maybe even LALD and Gun too, if Craig can come up with an entertaining, edgy, escapist Bond-sans-personal-issues, old-time adventure. Parts of SF were at least a step in the right direction. 1. DAF 2. TB 3. YOLT 4. GF 5. FRWL 6. DN 7.OHMSS 8. LALD 9. TMWTGG 10. TSWLM 11. MR 12. TLD 13. OP 14. LTK 15. GE 16. TWINE 17. AVTAK 18. TND 19. FYEO 20. CR 21. SF 22.DAD 23. QoS |
