| Somthing similar to this was done on TOS. The task here is to choose your favorite single image or shot that appeared in an official Bond film. This is not about entire scenes or sequences and dialogue is irrelevant. Music, however, may be a contributing factor.
My choice is a very personal and idiosyncratic one: it is the aerial shot in DAF of the famous Dunes Casino sign looking out over the expanse of Las Vegas. IIRC, this shot takes place soon after Tiffany tells the chagrined gas station attendant that he "blew it." |

| Several come to mind, but I'd go with the shot of the Aston Martin driving off down the road with the wedding flowers being thrown.
Runners up include the shot of Bond and Domino's underwater tryst; the red filter looking up at Largo's men from the shark pool; Angelo scanning the room with his face wrapped in a bandage while Bond is behind the door with Barry's eerie vibraphone/flute motif; Fiona grasping her cage bars with reaching orgasm; the tight closeups of Bond's totems in OHMSS with the Moog synthesiser and Ron Prentice's 6 string brass; the wideshot of Bond rescuing Tracey from the sea; the inverted neon CASINO sign reflected in the water; reveal of Piz Gloria; candlelight transition at dusk; and the dawn shot silhouette of Bond wielding the machine gun.

Criminally removed from the Ultimate Edition DVDs. :x Only region 2 discs. :!: Apparently the pillocks who restored had never seen the original, so they had no frame of reference. They thought it was a flaw in the print, so they 'corrected' it. MGM used region 2 to test trial the UE DVDs, and once they did it for the states, they had been told they made a mistake.

| It's a shot that had a real impact on me as a kid. How could they have possibly put that down to being 'a flaw'? Madness.

| Blimey, I just remembered the shot of the devilish Christmas tree angel after Bond gets conked on the noggin in OHMSS. THAT may be my favorite.
On the other hand, I love the shot of Blofeld's screeching cat that serves as the segue from the PTS to the title credits in DAF. Pretty electrifying. |

Ah yes, that's another weird one. PETA should be onto it. |

| Taken from my favourite Bond scene of all - this one shot, to Barry's heavenly music, just encapsulates the pure wonder of Piz Gloria and the surrounding alps. A dream on film. |

I wish that were the case for all Barry scored films. Instead we get Arnold's for TND. |

| Here are some of the shots that make FRWL my favourite Bond film:
The sultry titles... especially at the start of the main theme.
The colours in the chess scene are gorgeous, especially on the UE dvd.
This shot always perks my interest.
That's right, Sean, she's a looker.
She should've kept her mouth shut.
I'll stop here. We've all seen the film. |

| That shot of Pierce Brosnan crashing through the Russian Archives window and landing on the tank in GoldenEye, or maybe the following shot of him gripping the AK-47 and looking at General Ourumov take Natalya hostage. Either one screams pure 007! |

| "Welcome to Miami" - that first long shot panning to the Fontainbleau's pool, with the John Barry orchestra wailing in the background - or alongside, rather.
The separation of the Disco Volante from its cocoon.
The first interior reveal of the volcano rocket base.
The first shot of the Whyte House.
Lights up inside the Liparus.
Reveal of Drax's space station.
Sanchez's triumphant little smile as he reminds Hector Lopez that he's "only president...for life." Never has a villain's motivation been so clearly expressed so subtly.
Bond launching himself and his procured motorcycle off the cliff in Arkangelsk to catch the falling Storch. |

Bond launching himself and his procured motorcycle off the cliff in Arkangelsk to catch the falling Storch. A good selection, and the bolded is the best o' the best, IMO. |
