All serious Bond fans must read the Fleming novels and short stories, and preferably multiple times. You're only half a fan without having done so.

FWIW, Telly's Blofeld is as good a cinematic villain as we've seen in Bond. Personally, I don't rate Pleasance's version.

one of the most fleshed out characters played by one of the best actors in the series
