Our friends in the north

Just got through binge watching OFITN, if you haven't seen this 80s series i can recommend it, it's the story of three mates living in Newcastle and how there lives pan out over three decades, 60s/70s/80s. A sterling cast which includes Christopher eccleston, Mark strong and Daniel craig who plays geordie a real deadbeat who goes from running a porn empire to ex con living rough,with his long greasy hair and nerdy glasses it's hard to imagine this guy went on to become James bond

Remember watching it at the time ... actually a mid-90s series, if memory serves. Yeah, if you'd told me at the time I was looking at a future Bond (and indeed, a future Doctor Who) I likely would've laughed heartily.
