Common jazz and pop syncopation - comes from Afro-Cuban music (i.e. rumba), but you're right - the Chicago House scene developed from imported Euro Disco records like these. |

| 14 years after the fact I have taken a liking to Sara Bareilles, any other fans?
She has an identifiable voice, occassionally clever and largely insightful lyrics, good melodies and hooks and truly non-derivative.
Reminds me of Carole King but with a nicer, less bagelly voice. |
