Having rewatched OP recently, I agree. She’s a doll. A flawless face, gorgeous hair, an entrancing voice, an aloofness perhaps rivalling Ursula Andress. Maybe she’d have made a better Octopussy than Adams.

Yeah, I find that a lot of people who are considered beautiful have little to no sex appeal. For me, those folks would include Brooke Shields and Elizabeth Taylor. Sometimes beauty can be too perfect and that manifests as a turnoff to me personally (might also explain why I find so many women this century to be unappealing, because so many of them have gone under the knife to achieve what feels to me like unnatural results. Perfection -- and even just attractiveness -- is in the eye of the beholder, not measured by a slide rule)

Whereas there are women like Lindsay Wagner, whose body does not fit any of my norms for attractiveness, I have always found intensely hot, just owing to her face and expressions and 'tude.

This is probably an extreme your-mileage-may-vary category of discussion, but I'm not trying to stir the shit here.

I think there’s a confidence in sex appeal. Or maybe more generally, it relates to an energy surrounding a person. Or their personality. Someone I’d consider sexy is someone like Penelope Cruz. Or Izabella Scorupco. I’d consider Nicole Kidman to be beautiful but I don’t think she has sex appeal because there’s a sense of insecurity with her. It can be very endearing but it’s not exactly stimulating (though I do remember having a wet dream as a young’n after watching Eyes Wide Shut as a lad!).

On the flip side, someone like Sean Connery I’d consider to be sexy. Though, I don’t think he’s beautiful and I certainly don’t want to fuck him!

It’s something I wonder about actually. Porn has disclaimers about their actors being of age but you rewind to the 80s and there are films like Carrie or Fast Times At Ridgemont High that show girls under 18 (the actresses may be 18 or older), naked. Different times indeed...

When it comes to anything sexual with Connery to me it's no different than Austin Powers. It just makes me laugh so impossible to view him in a sexual manner in a positive or negative way.

Agreed. And if I were a woman--hey, these days that's a very real option, just get a pair of Lee Press-on Breasts and a naugahyde vajajay, and you're in bidniss--I don't think I would find Broz sexy for the same reason. He's got department store mannequin good looks.

I think the film in question is PRETTY BABY, by Louis Malle with Susan Sarandon. It was very controversial at the time, and I don't recall anybody I know actually ever seeing the movie, though there was coverage (or uncoverage) of frame-blowups and posed stills with Sarandon in PLAYBOY's 'the year in movies' or 'sex in the cinema' or whatever it was called at the time.
