Sunday just gone I went to a place called Amberley. Quiet, out of the way, but the location of the mine scenes for VTAK. Long been a museum, as it was when the film romped up but once in the day an actual mine for limestone. Far as VTAK went, it was all exterior. I was surprised by how small the entrance to the mine seemed compared to the film.

My brother and I ventured into it, no more than 100 hundred feet maybe. The day had been touted as a Bond day which included a few Aston Martin's (the oldest one was a DB2, what Bond drove in the GF novel). There was a Bond quiz, largely focused on VTAK but the anniversary films of 2024.

Who knew 77 was the final body count of Goldfinger!?

They're hoping to do an event next year for VTAK40.

Which depressingly, is also *my* 40th
