| It's pretty self explanatory. Are you going to do a Bondathon with friends and family? Read all of the books? Anything different you are going to do to make it that little bit special? Me? I've decided on doing a Bondathon in order of release. However, on selected titles, I will invite family and friends over for a Bondian dinner (recipes from the films and novels) with James Bond music in the background and then watch the selected title with martinis in my home theatre. The selected titles are obviously my favorites. This will happen monthly up until Bond 23, and there will be at least one film from each actor. This is what I'm thinking of.... To open the Bondathon, nothing other with a James Bond 'classics' Doctor No and From Russia With Love double bill, to occur on the Saturday OO7th January. Saturday February 4th: Thunderball Friday 2nd March (to coincide with Daniel Craig's Birthday): On Her Majesty's Secret Service Saturday OO7th April: For Your Eyes Only Saturday 5th May: Octopussy Friday 29th June (to exactly coincide with its 25th anniversary - it was released on this very day according to The Essential James Bond): The Living Daylights Saturday OO7th July: Goldeneye Saturday 25th August (to coincide with Sean Connery's birthday): Tomorrow Never Dies Saturday 8th September: The World Is Not Enough Saturday 27th October (a couple of days before it's world premiere a few years ago, but oh well): Quantum Of Solace So, yes, I'm a bit of a fan boy |

| I don't think I'll be doing anything other than my usual rotation of Bond films.
Maybe I will re-read the Fleming novels. Its been a while. |

| Beginning with twenty-two days prior to the Bond 23 premiere, I will be singing a Bond theme in the shower every morning. |

| In tribute to Sir Rog's last couple of Bonds, I thought I might have a highly unconvincing 'double' replace me at certain moments in the week leading up to the release of Bond 23. |

| My plan is to borrow Dad's big screen TV and hold a special root-beer-on-ice double bill of LTK on VHS. |

| Upon further review. I meant dress in drag too as Tiffany Case, on Jill St. John's birthday. (Dressing as Bond is kinda dorky and fan boyish.)
If its good enough for both Bond and Blofeld....
There are downtown areas here where no-one would even bat an eye. |

| Today I've re-read Casino Royale. Man, I love that book. But I have still to read all of the other JB books I bought (about 15 books, which 7 are by Ian Fleming). I'm not inside Bond world since so much, and I'm very young. I watched my very first Bond movie last year, and started reading my first Ian Fleming novel on 21st december 2011. |

| For my birthday, my lady-love set me up with everything I need for November:
The Skyfall issue of Empire Magazine, The Skyfall teaser poster, and A Cineplex gift card loaded with four admissions (on the condition that I take her at least once).
Plus her son gave me an HMV gift card for Christmas, sufficient to cover the cost of both the soundtrack and, later, the DVD.
It's nice when the people you love are supportive and non-judgemental when it comes to your obsessions. |

| Watch the films in order as always, but hopefully more on LD. Do my final big writeups on each film that I've wanted to do for years. Re-read the holy texts though I'm nearly done with the full continuation read through. Curse CR and QoS. Play the soundtracks I own and hopefully add a few more. Lament Connery's retirement again and Dalton's lack of career advancement. Avoid SF for as long as possible and eventually cave in and go see in on 35mm somewhere, and probably feel absolutely deflated. I'm really dreading SF, and hoping that the series won't have yet another unneeded "rebirth".
But for a big anniversary, I would hope to sneak into the EON archives looking for the lost TB sequences and other materials. 8)
